Hey guys we should have a thread dedicated to new (at least to some) bands you have come across...

I was listening to Hooves over at the Bandcamp site and they steered me to this band called Xsons. The drummer from Xsons (Trent McIntyre) then showed me two other very cool bands Giza and Grenades. I gotta say Giza is a seriously immense band, sooo heavy sooo awesome.... all of these bands were terrific finds.

So share your latest Doomy finds with other ILFers who otherwise might not know about them

Neither of these bands are recent discoveries, but I have been nonstop listening to Conan's Monnos album. For the few of you ho haven't heard it, do it now!
And Zozobra's new one is quite tasty also.

How have I not heard Giza til now? Those guys are great.

Also, Elder are awesome. that album and their others, but that one in particular, are mindblowing.

Giza is trully behemoth of a band, no doubt.

I was checking out an El Ten Eleven interview, and I came across these guys, Soleilnoir. They are often compared to Russian Circles, so I was immediatly interested, some pretty heavy baritone riffage and a brooding rythm section... definately a good find... check them out. I wish I was technosavy enought to imbed stuff...SOLEILNOIR posting.php?mode=reply&f=227&t=33484#

So I just listened to rigideternity' s band Bloodmoon... I heard what lies beyond and as a wind and I was sold. Not only because he is an ilfer, but this is a killer band if you like da heavies.

Elder is one of those bands that I love every time I hear them. But somehow I always forget to buy their albums. I need to remedy this.

Over at bandcamp I came across these guys. Totally stripped down garagey doom. Olde Growth checkout there debut album, it is significantly heavier than the owl ep (which is also killer).

Ohh doom with organs...wierd psychy sludgedy stuff. I gotta admit this is one of those album where the name and album art drew me in...and the tonez kept my attention...Stonehenge... Bunch of Bisons. Heavy psych infused doomish stuff. Summer music. hell yeah.

Any ideas on the rigs belzebong uses?

Check out these guys A Hundred Black Kites. Found them over at the spread music site. Not really straight down tuned doom, but they uses samples, looping and a bunch of effects I could not really identify specifically....very atmospheric.
