Hahaha yeah true dat. With you on the mini thing, it's killer and better than any preamp drive I've heard.

the amp is here. i still have to bring it in from the car and set it up. i'm gonna have to either have someone rewire to a 3-prong plug or do it myself. it's OLD SCHOOL.

still incoming: Montreal Assembly goodbye 24, Seppuku Mind Warp, and that wacky East German guitar from the b/s/t. now I have to STOP.

i basically decided to use resources while i have them to finish out getting equipment that has been on my list forever. i've wanted the Mind Warp ever since it came out, was looking for a Phaser XII for a reasonable price for years, and HAD to buy back my Truly Beautiful Disaster back for $25 more than i sold it for.

the amp settles a thing i've been riding since i was 15--which would be1972--when i played for 15 minutes through a tweed Gibson amp which was the best amp/guitar combination i've ever played. i did research in recent years and established to my satisfaction that the Gibbo i loved was the model with the 7591 power tubes, and then discovered that the Kalamazoo amp is basically a budget 7591 Gibbo. so i've had an eye out for one for two or three years, and when this one came up for crazy cheap i couldn't let it go by.

and the Musima guitar is so perfectly weird that i just couldn't resist. i know a guy here in the States who does custom pick guards, headstock overlays, and such so i'm going to partially restore it but leave the stripped/weathered finish. i'm looking forward to people asking "what the FUCK is that thing?" and the YT demo sounds beautiful. it'll be my little Communist Ugly Duckling, grown up to be a swan far, far away.

I want one too! AWESOME!

Why? I never got the concept of buffers in general, much less of taking the buffer out of a coveted OD pedal and build that as a stand-alone.

Buffers are super!

The audible differences in well designed buffers are minimal, but at the same time quite real - in good listening conditions you'll hear the difference - slight differences in gain and frequency response. For audience purposes any buffer will do. Buffers for me serve two purposes - one is giving my guitar and amp a consistent impedance, for more predictable and consistent response. The other is to maintain treble content over long cable runs. I use two 3 metre cables, good cables, and the difference is huge. Will record a Cosmi demo next week, can do a buffer demo as well.

My chain got fucked up (a lot of Volume and tone drop). So i decided to put a Buffer behind The fuzzes.

If you have the recording facilities to make that differnece audible it would be much appreciated.

I have a T1M buffer and can't use my board without it. I don't particularly like the company, but it was a cheap and small, so I just said fuck it. It can be noisy, though, so I'm looking for a replacement. I'd really like to try the Fryette Valvulator tube buffer or TheGigRig Z Cable, but they're expensive.

Buffers shouldn't be noisy. If you want I'll solder you up a general guitar IC buffer. Is good. And you're right, t1m is douchey.
