I've always loved cream pickup covers on a black bass. I would switch to a black and chrome PG/Control Cavity Cover layout though. Still can't swing $1200. Maybe I should have gotten an edumacation.

I agree that some of them are a bit too "OMG!!! Hanging out with a PEDAL BUILDER!!!!", but keeping in contact with Ry has helped me a couple of times when I've had issues with a pedal of his...warranty work on a used pedal, for example.
