I don't know why but those digital things seem awesome but kinda saddening in a way. When I go to a show and no longer is there giant stacks of amps and a lot of cool effect pedals to see. I imagine if the tech gets better we will all just play those straight into PA's as a normal thing. I don't know if it's cool since no longer is there so much money spent or if it's lame because we can't look doom as fuck.

randoom thoughts though lol

Not a fan of the Axe-FX. Give me my vintage amps.

That's what I'm fucking talking about. Although I love Ampeg, I need to get my hands on the same Bergantino cabs and some old Sunn heads. The NV215/610 are two of the cabs I want most.

Its not as loud but the tone is there and recording is soo much easier. It also works splendidly for guitar and bass. The effects are quite good cept for the fuzzies.

Does it take fuzz well? The only person I've actually seen run pedals in front of it was Dweezil Zappa.

And I tend to be a fan of modelers because of recording purposes.

Yea totally and the some of the drives are very useable within the unit no oscillating fuzzies though. And this is separate from the amp section entirely. The routing within the unit is what makes it totally powerful though.

My last two recordings on my song a week challenge were all axe fx though.

Also if any of you are interested in a certain bass/guitar sound I can try to replicate it. Especially if you have a isolated clip and some info on what kind of amp was used.

I've been tempted to save for one but I'd still have to wait for a good price to pop up on the ebay.

Especially now that Kemper came out with their new.. thing.
