I like the Keurig. It's not as good as french press, obviously, but it's as good as a drip machine, and with decent ground coffee it's fine. I hate K-cups, though. The last thing we need is more disposable plastic shit. But, there's reusable ones now...

Coffee is one of those things where I really appreciate a high quality cup... but I'm fine with normal stuff, generally. Though, honestly, making a cup in a french press just isn't that big of a deal. It only takes a few minutes...

Me neither. I still have mine, though. Just in case anyone of the other folks in this thread come over to visit, y'know. So I can make them a cuppa joe that they'll like.

I just remembered I have a French press travel mug. This pleases me.

I'm glad coffee coffee doesn't have much affect on me. I just drink it because it's fucking awesome.

I can drink a pot of coffee at 2:00 in the morning, then go to bed. If anything, I just wake up once to void then go back to bed.

I'M GOING TO GO MAKE SOME COFFEE RIGHT NOW.

realizing that every time i re visit this thread, i have to drink a cup of coffee.

also, i just recently moved back into my parents house for the winter, and they have the keurig thing. usually i'd be totally against all that cause of all the money spent on those cup things/all the wasted plastic and everything, but i find myself waking up and feeling lazy (because i haven't had morning coffee), and instead of making french press, i make a keurig cup in 30 seconds. and it's kind of awesome. so whatever.

I will agree with that. If I work a morning shift and don't have coffee at home, I go to work and make a Keurig (or use my own ground coffee for it). I wish I had the time to grind my beans at work.

If I have the energy at home, making coffee is more like art. Bring the water to a boil, weigh out my beans, grind 'em, and stick 'em in my Aeropress. I only use the inverted method. I have more control that way.

EDIT: Emily, can we write an album together? Let's get together, buy a dozen (or more) bags of beans, and just drink coffee and make music.

i prefer the 'pedestrian' route.

it is both simple and hilarious.

I would buy this coffee-fueled album. Or potentially want to be in on it.
