I'm surprised that I didn't have an account here, I have one just about everywhere else. I'm Bryant, I live in Houston, TX. I haven't played much guitar in the past year, but I'm picking it back up. My girlfriend and I are hoping to start a band together and play at some local spots. We'll see what happens with it.

The name's Josh. I'm from the far east coast of Canada.
I'm mainly a bassist, but I dabble in guitar, too. I have more gear than talent and I'm fine with that. I listen to everything, but mostly play grind, death metal, crust, and powerviolence. Deal with it.
I'm vegan, a horror movie aficionados, fuzz whore, and I drink a lot of fucking coffee/tea. I love body modification. I'm an animal lover and I keep a lot of random fish. I enjoy photography, but I don't consider myself a professional by any standards. I do it for fun.
I recently joined a 24-year-old band named System Shit. I wouldn't be surprised if you've heard of them. This is my favorite release from them:

I started playing again a few years ago after a 30 year hiatus.
My primary instruments now are tuned in fifths. Tenor Guitar (acoustic & electric) in octave mandolin tuning (GDAE) and mandolin.
I've recently joined a very informal Classic Rock cover band. My primary stage instruments are an Eastwood Warren Ellis electric tenor guitar and an Ovation acoustic/electric mandolin.
My rig/chain is:
instrument -> tuner -> Analogman Maxon SD-9 -> EQD Dirt Transmitter -> GarageTone Oil Can Phaser - ModTone MiniMod Delay -> amp (small gig: Fender SuperChamp XD, larger gig: Hughes & Kettner 25th Anniversary Edition Tube 20W 1x12)
Happy to be here...Love EQD!

Hi everyone. I'm Timo, from Finland, and I'm addicted to low frequencies and crushing noises. I've been lurking here some time, but registered a while ago, and since I can't get any sleep I might as well start posting.
So what to tell? I do vocals in a punk band and sabbathy-droning-space-noises-with-bass-or-guitar-or-synth-through-pedals in my bedroom. I coudn't play if my life depended on it, but oddly, I think doing this has kept me alive. I'm straight edge and a bartender, a junk food loving vegan and mostly broke. I can't have enough vinyls, pedals, movies or comic books. I'm a geek, a romantic and a depressed revolutionary. I study fine arts and can't wait to graduate to unemployment.
Peace, love and anarchy.
Over and out.

What a lovely introduction. Welcome!
All of you others too, of course. Been wondering about that Warren Ellis tenor too. Give us some info on it please.

My name is Jeremy. I was on here under the name mrmtzion for a long time. I had lots of great deals with people, then I started coming on ILF mostly late at night stoned and started to act like a jack ass and posted lots of dumb shit. I deleted my account about 2 months ago, I needed a break from the internet and all the forums/facebook etc bullshit. I love trading pedals and trying new shit and this forum is full of legit dudes and gals, so I am back to redeem myself. I will only post "quality comments and feeds" and hope to buy lots of your gear because I sold most of my pedals to fund other shit. I have a wife and 2 kids, own a house, work as a chef and am in a psch band (http://infinitelandscapes.bandcamp.com)and have a solo project called sheep of saturn (sheepofsaturn.bandcamp.com).

Not sure if anyone will read this but I figured I might as well make a post in here as a first post.
I'm a college kid in North Texas who loves pedals! I play bass and my passion is music. I go to a lot of concerts in the area. I'm keen to experimental music, heavy and not heavy. Here's my top 100 albums:http://i.imgur.com/Gsu89.jpg
I joined these forums because I need a new forum fix and this place seems right up my alley. Also it'd be cool to get input from other people with all my pedal questions. I've recently fallen in love with pedals (makes it hard to spend money on anything else)
Cheers!

Hi, devideva from NOLA. Love the board. I won't make trouble. I only been playing guitar for less that two years. I still suck but I don't play for others but for myself. I have an Epiphone LPC and Bugera V55. I run my signal through an Earthquaker Speaker Cranker and LPB2UBE ganged for OD.
I love guitar and I went off the deep end with depression about five years ago and lost my will to live, until I decided to learn guitar, and playing guitar has restored my sanity and my life. I really am not joking. For giggles I watch lots of pedal demos, especially of fuzzes, and though I can't afford them I love to note the textures of sounds and plan ahead. Right now my wish list includes:
BlackArts Pharaoh
Devi Ever Ruby and Bit
JHS Charlie Brown
Earthquaker Sea Machine and Rainbow
Boss RE-20
I think that's it.
I love hard rock - that lonely genre which used to be so much for so many. I hate poppunkpuke and emo shit. I was a punk rocker in Hollywood as a kid and lived my youth at Starwood, Whiskey, Vex, Cathay, etc,... All the punks I knew are dead. I got out to stay alive. I am a chef, or was, after 20 years I just lost my shit. I couldn't stand the hours, drugs, partying, pressure any longer.
Now I am clean
playing guitar
on haitus
from the mess

Yes I do.
I've not gotten very deep into the local music scene but from Denton I like Innards, Senor Fin and Babar.
