there's something to it, and it really can't be denied. interesting stuff..

I de-potted the ancient pickup that I recently potted and it being microphonic is just so much better.

the correlation from your point of view being?

The denial of correlations in general.

Its something I've thought of before, wasn't just inspired by that post. Camus' philosophical absurdism is a major influence on my personal world view, but I always get the impression you're quite on the opposite side of the spectrum.

yeah, that's the impression. I'm mostly at the middle of everything. I like it that way, feels like a more objective standpoint in general but I understand why it can seem contradictory at times. it's that: "two sides of the same coin at once" scheme.

ftw.

ooooh! this is great too!

also.. I thought that the point of the Stranger was that he acknowledged correlations at the end :idk:

Nah, he just comes to terms with it in the end.

Albert Camus wrote: "As if that blind rage had washed me clean, rid me of hope; for the first time, in that night alive with signs and stars, I opened myself to the benign indifference of the world. Finding it so much like myself—so like a brother, really—I felt that I had been happy and that I was happy again. For everything to be consummated, for me to feel less alone, I had only to wish that there be a large crowd of spectators the day of my execution and that they greet me with howls of execration."

I just had a dream where I met a family that lived on a farm house somewhere in Washington D.C. They had a kid (male, young teens) who they had decided to raise as if he were a pet goat. I'm not sure why they did that, but we (I don't remember who "we" consisted of) staged an elaborate kidnapping, of course nobody happened to be there to try to stop us.

We brought him to our place (once again, not sure what that was), and as socialization (he could talk and stuff) we made him shower and wear deodorant.

The rest of the dream consisted of us randomly wandering into strange (yet classy), outdoor, makeshift bars to try a series of strangely named beers my subconscious created. There was also a sex scene that involved me having sex with a woman who wore a space helmet (think that one episode of Venture Bros.); she could open the mouth hole so I could do some excellent lying-upside-down-on-the-edge-of-the-bed throat fucking.

I've been having an email argument with my parents about politics for days... I can't imagine how many thousands of words I must have typed by now.

I don't even like talking about politics. My mom just emailed me this long letter as if we were already halfway into an argument, and it's been going on since.

One of my roommates just massively overreacted over the fact that I only left one rasher of bacon in the fridge when he wanted to make an omlette for tea. I mean, yeah I should have remembered to get some bacon out of the freezer to defrost, but to storm off in a huff instead of cooking something else? :?: Also I only cooked like an hour ago so it wouldn't even have been unfrozen yet if I HAD remembered to get some out. Maybe like, eat something else or just eat one rasher of bacon. I felt kinda bad at first even though it's only a tiny little thing because I'm a nice guy like that, but he's being such a bitch.

Oooh, ooh ooh! :joy: I can write emails for you!!! I'd love to pretend to be you debating politics with your parents. They won't know what hit 'em. :)*

And I'm definitely posting that pic on my friend Steve's wall who really isn't punk at all.
