Programmers, developers, coders...

Post by zRobertez »

How many people here fall into some sort of those categories? It seems like more than what I would expect for some reason. Anyway, I think it's real cool!
My dad has been a developer for years and years and right now he works for Riot Games, the guys who made League of Legends. Pretty schweet!

And I've been learning JavaScript for awhile now and I've already done some HTML and CSS. In a little bit, I think I'm moving to Objective-C and try and score a jobz with that.

Who else knows their way around the computer programming block?

The program I work in uses a variant of C Sharp for scripting. I don't need to do a ton of it but it's handy to learn so I may start picking up some instruction on that. Mostly It's pretty gui based SQL joins and typesetting. terribly bland, boring stuff.

HTML5, CSS3, JS (and I'm starting to get into JSON and AJAX), jQuery, PHP, AS2&3. I'm also starting to learn Linux. I used to code in Basic when I was in high school too, but I don't really remember that at all. Ruby on Rails 3, and Cake PHP are next on my list of things to look into.

I keep a blog on my portfolio site about jQuery and WordPress theme development.

and I just started another blog on learning Linux.

(haven't moved that one to its own domain yet, need to see if I can get into the habit of working on Linux regularly enough to make it worth it)

Thanks dude. All the layout, illustration, etc. was done in Adobe Illustrator CS6. Most people use Photoshop for web design, but I like to stick to my rule of thumb for design software, which is that print layout gets done in InDesign, photo editing and raster illustration gets done in Photoshop, vector illustration, graphics for animation, and any design or layouts which may need to be resized or manipulated in other ways gets done in Illustrator.
