Let me first start off by saying that I personally like both Devi and Charlotte. I think they are both cool people (just like the rest of you) with an interest in music and gear. If it was not for the Shoe Gazer I would have never gotten back into music and found my way too you guys and this forum. Regardless of what you may think about her, it is easy to say she has made some cool shit. Here is one of these "here we go again" threads about what seems to be the constant internet drama that surrounds her work/image/business. This always starts off as one or two people who make an attack/troll/flame/grievance that spawns a bunch of long worded post that are quickly scanned by the rest of us who just plainly don't give a fuck about. Not to mention quite often goes of topic ( as most shit does around here)

I am making this the last time I read one of these threads, and I hope the Velvet Hammer ( SPACEEEEE MOD) just deletes this shit so that it is dead and done. It is not even worth our time to post a silly picture about how much we are not giving a fuck, and it gives Devi the anonymity that she and everyone else deserves. If you don't like what she has too say then you have to power to not click on the link and move on to the porn that you are going to watch instead (which is what I do). If you have to comment please do it some place else.

I truly hope that she finds her baring and that one day will start to make pedals like she did back during the effector 13 era.

Until then I got better shit to do.

I'm feeling pretty chill, but it is annoying when people start talking shit about the modding here, like there's some Orwellian bullshit going on, when this is one of the most loosely modded gear forums I know of. There are f-words in posts and subjects, nudity, graphic sexual language, drug discussion...

Pretty much the only things not allowed are racist posts, graphic porn, n-words, insults based on sexuality, and any post that one of the mods decides violates ILF's main rule: "Don't be an asshole." (Though most of those are left in, if only so other people notice the asshole.)

If you think ILF--which is almost unmodded--is overmodded...

Fair enough. I have nothing but respect for you and will from this point on think of it as an extension of your word. I'm just paranoid about that stuff, and I'll readily admit I posted that in a bit of a hurry and it came across as more melodramatic than I intended. I still feel that "hammer" is an implied threat in about the same way as the huge police headquarters that can be seen from about anywhere in my town (or simply a police uniform). I dislike the placement and architecture of that building. Seeing it makes me uncomfortable. On similar grounds it's not my favorite choice of username. I spend my days studying power structures etc and my thinking is probably very biased from that.

Most important point: As an extension of your word I can (will) respect it.

I'm right with you about police buildings, or any government/authority-based intimidation. I don't come at forums/life from a hierarchical viewpoint. (Actually, I almost left college to join a commune.)

The goal is to keep ILF free of moderator-based bullying or any powertripping, . I probably come across as the most authoritarian of all the mods, but it's really just my English background, full punctuation, and insufferable mediator approach. What I write is never as serious as it probably reads.

Of course the mods can share their opinions on whatever, and should have as much a right to an opinion as anyone else here. However, thread locking and bans are extremely rare here.

And...velvet is so soft! The name is pretty tongue in cheek, and VH's intentions are good.
