Musket Fuzz: the fattest fuzz

Post by fuzzface3000 »

the Musket fuzz:

I have been a fuzz user for many years now, the fuzz face was typically my fuzz of choice, mostly because of clarity, and I could always add more gain via boosting with some kind of fat boost after for additional girth

however, I've always been a fan of the tone of the muff, but there were no muffs that would properly wet my whistle, when I'd dial in a good rhythm tone, I wouldn't have a good lead tone and vice versa

well here comes the Musket into my life, and it's the perfect muff! some cover songs a fuzz face is needed, however for most of my original stuff lately I've been shaking the earth with my musket fuzz, dialed in to an extra fat tone

what I love about the pre knob, is that to me it's like a muff history lesson, left to right, vintage to modern and beyond into space!

a fuzz that can be so creamy, smooth and beautiful, or ugly and absolutely mind shattering

regardless of the setting, it's always musical

oh hello, this is my first post :!!!: :animal:

Yessssss.....the Musket is BADASS! I own a V1 Musket, one of Kyle's hand-painted Blunderbuss Muskets and will hopefully have a Red Rifles V2 Musket in my mailbox tomorrow.

If you love your Musket, you owe it to yourself to try a Blunderbuss. It's a whole new beast with a different fuzz character but with all the controls of the regular Musket.

Cheers!

After waiting for months for either a Blunderbuss or Musket to make itself known, I finally scored a V2 Musket on the cheap. I have Pharaoh, Hoof, Supercollider, and many many Sovtek Muffs, and Musket does things none of them can do.
For versatility alone, it's a keeper. So many good sounds in that sparkly box, it's almost overwhelming.
The fat gobs of tweakable lowend make the doomhead in me laugh like a demon
Only thing that's left is a custom-painted Blunderbuss...
Special low-frequency version.

The Musket is a box full of win for sure. A Musket (or Twosome) is the pedal that has been on my board the longest.

Had some rehersal tweaking going on tonight, we did not really have any thing to play so it just became tone tweaking and jammin. But damn does the musket have some awesome sounds in it! Detah metal? Yes!
Crusty punk stuff? Sure buddy! Crushing low end? Fuck yeah! Spliff smokin british rock? Hell yes!

So im pretty impressed! Finally a muff based pedal i might actually use, cuz it has all the flavors of dirt you could imagine.

Musket is my number 1 dirt pedal, it sounds so authentic and gritty. It's lasted me through many shows.

I JUSt bought one today at Ludlow Guitars. I creamed my pants. I love you Kyle.

The Musket Fuzz absolutely kicks arse - I had the Big Muff which was pretty mean but the Musket does what that did in a more controlled and refined (if that's the word for a fuzz) way.

I had got a fuzz to layer with the Suhr Riot kinda in the background to provide a different texture but honestly this pedal is so damn good it's going to become the main part of my sound. It also sound 'wider' than the Suhr.

So from England I would like to say - f****g well done :joy: :joy: :joy:
