SUPER PUZZLE - art mock up added, page 16

Postby smallsnd/bigsnd » Wed Nov 09, 2011 9:56 am

oh hello :hello:

i've built a couple superfuzzes and always thought they were rad and after building Fuzz Pi's, i realized that i wanted to make a small run of them and was working on ideas and the PCB design while on the road. there are definitely other superfuzzes out there, but not so many that mine would get lost in the mix - hopefully i can make it different enough. i'll be messing with a few of my ideas today and tomorrow and should have the PCB design sent off to get printed by tomorrow evening... that being said, i'm in the middle of moving the shop, have dealer obligations to fulfill and a LOT of custom orders to get to, so let's expect this to get started in about a month if i'm lucky. for my own sanity i don't want to start the list yet, but it seems as though people are reading my mind and sending me emails about superfuzzes - hence this thread.

features:
*mothafuckin SUPERFUZZ
*added gain at input
*added gain at output
*starve control
*footswitchable octave - you can internally trim this as well for less octave
*switchable clipping diodes
*NO MID SCOOP!
*not too expensive?
*vertically oriented with top mounted jacks (like the old TAFM)
*black textured powdercoated enclosures with some sort of puzzling (har har) graphic

Sounds like the Superfuzz I've been waiting for. I don't know how usable it would be with the circuit but expression controllable gain would make my heart stop.

Just when I thought I was going to be set on fuzz...

my biggest thing..is that in order to be a TRUE ss/bs/dfas, it has to make things sound broken =D

In god dammit, AWESOME! :thumb: No clean blend though, is that absolute??? Seems a nice feature to include since it can be turned down if someone doesn't want/need it but it's a necessity for others....

Another great suggestion.

This is why I have a dedicated SS/BS/DFAS bank account.

Where does this leave the Best Friend? Or did you find another BFF on tour?

Will buy one of these! *needs more ss/bs*

On another note...who the hell has my old orange tafm? Sold it about a year ago.

I don't think you realize how many TAFMs are floating around / permanently fixed to boards :animal:

Cool, I've been wanting a superfuzz for a while now. Hopefully I'll have some spare cash when the list opens up.
