Hey everybody.

My name's Tony, i'm 18 and i've been playing guitar for about a year and a half.

I have a love/hate relationship with my pedals, which mostly consist of used dan-o mini's. so in my search for more exciting sounds, i ended up here. :D

My passions in life are music, music and music, in that order.

that's it for now, i guess...i don't see myself as an interesting person, and i'm terrible at talking about myself. :p

I'm AK. I'm... what, really? Not a student anymore. I guess I count as a philosopher now. Writer? Potential law student. Something like that.

I've been playing guitar for six or seven years. I'm primarily a vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and textural/noise freakout bastard. I like old amps and power tube distortion (main amp: Silvertone 1484), single coils with heavy strings, delay pedals that oscillate, and, of course, FUZZ! Yay! I play/ed in a band called Leopold & Loeb, though that's on semi-hiatus as we're geographically dispersed at the moment.

I like a lot of music. Smart songwriters especially (Costello, Dylan, Newman, Bowie), and noisy rock (Les Rallizes Denudes, Velvet Underground, Boredoms, Gang of Four, Radiohead) and jazz (Coltrane, Holiday, Art Ensemble of Chicago) and a particular fondness for funk, soul, and R&B, especially strange old stuff you find in crates. I'm fucking obsessive, which earned me the nickname "The Music Fascist" at college.

DE/E13 gear: Soda Meiser, DN

I'm a 1472 user myself.
I want one of those as a recording amp.

I'm totally in love with the 1484. I got myself a good 1x12 with a Weber ceramic Blue Dog, and goddamn what a sound. It doesn't have the glassiness of a Fender, but it has a really nice midrange such that the low strings feel like getting kicked in the chest and the highs can get aggressive but not piercing. Just the right amount of breakup for me, too - I'm not really a technical player, I just love to smash the hell out of the guitar and hear it growl. :thumb:

I'm Enrico, from Italy, I'm 30, I play guitar since I was 13.
I plaid almost everything: blues, jaz, free jazz, metal, hard rock, rock, post rock, funk, folk, noise, experimental music, etc.
After playing in various bands I decided to do everything by myself and began recording as "Mr. Henry" (the title of my favourite Tom Waits song ever!).
A year ago I joined Alan (from the italian band Hormiga) and togheter we are
"Los Lucha Libre". We call ourselves a band of total impro since we improvise all music but also our set up each time!
I have a lot guitars but my favourite gear is

- 1982 american strat
- custom made 60's italian guit with just a neck pick up (di marzio megadrive)
- old italian archtop guit (I don't know the name, sorry)
- Fender Champ 12
- Polytone Mini Brute 2
- Micro Korg
- All Devi Stuff
- Catalin Bread Semaphore
- Vox Valve Tone
- Tech 21 XXL
- Fulltone Ultimate Octave
- Boss RC 50

I became a pedal addicted a few months ago and go crazy for Devi stuff!

Hi Antero,
the semaphore is great because it's very transparent, it doesn't chgange your tone!
And because is very versatile, you can get some cool waveforms and very slow and very fast tremolo sounds (by the way you can look at the blinking blue light to see the tempo of the oscillator )and if you want you can use it as a booster, well not much boost, I think just 10 dB, but it can be useful ...
Last, I tried with the Teaser Stallion and the Semaphore makes it go crazy!
It's expensive but very good.
I also like the T Rex Tremster, but it has only one wave form and in the vibrato mode it colours very much your tone, but I have to admit that it sounds really great and that it's much cheaper than the Semaphore ...

Hi,

I'm Steve from Toronto. I just got a Spectacular AE today, thought it would be a good idea to sign up to the forum, too.

I see Muff is the moderator here. Hey, Mike.

I look forward to coming on here and gushing about my new pedal once it arrives.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi, I'm old, have been playing guitar since well before many of you were born--hell, my kids are older than some of you. Nevertheless, I'm a fuzz addict, and thus, drawn to the E13/Devi Ever line of sonic toys.

At present, I have only the AR05 Clipping Boost on my board. It transfigures my tone to channel the raw clang of one of my musical heroes, Hound Dog Taylor. I'm currently lusting after an AR-US.

Musically, I'm a fan of Delta Trance music--droning slide-drenched fits of ecstasy a la Mississippi Fred McDowell, Junior Kimbrough, The Scissormen, Seasick Steve, and so forth. I'm also a fan of the Black Keys, Captain Beefheart, and Steve Earle. Go figger'.

You can hear clips of my half-assed playing at:

http://www.soundclick.com/professorfuzz ... ycowwolves

At any rate, I'm happy to be here.
peace

Hi, my names Carey. I'm 20, been playing music for 7 years, first bass, then synth then guitar, now everything I can get my hands on (mainly guitar though).

I've been following Effector 13/Devi Ever for quite some time. I bought my TBD 4 years ago, and have been hooked, since then I've also got a 05 and kP, and will be buying more as soon as funds warrent.

I live in Australia and am currently studying electronics at university (which I was mainly interested in because of pedal effects).

My main interest is my band:New Miracle Force (last.fm).
New Miracle Force (myspace).
We have a couple of albums up on our last.fm page.
We play a diverse range of genres from jazz, to doom metal, to ambient soundscapes, to varied noise, to plain old rock, it's all over the place really; and constantly evolving.
I play guitar, bass, etc.
Kyle does drums, pecussion, electronics and other things.
Karl does Saxaphones, Recorder, Trumpet, Throat Singing, Didgeridoo, Cello, Circuit Bent things and other elctronics.

I also have a solo project which is just silly silly noise.
Dotåbåtå. (last.fm)
Dotåbåtå. (myspace 1)
Dotåbåtå. (myspace 2)

I like to do visual art too, which I submit some to my DeviantArt account.
My Deviantart Account.

I also like to write...
My Livejournal.
It's mainly gig reviews.

My name is Kimberly. I work with Devi, my love. I make the pedals with the purple wire inside. I love music, especially by women. But I am open to any kind of music. I used to play guitar (acustic), I want to learn all kinds of music someday. I love nature. To me it is an extention of myself. Life is mysterious, and I don't always understand it, or myself. I love people, but am myself a little hard to get to know.

I really enjoy reading the thoughts in this board. There are quite a lot of intelligent peoples here.
