No... it's because of retail mark up and the fact it's a pain in the ass to build.
And lets be fair here the things is a super fuzz, a migbuff and a mixer for both in one box, if you were to get some one to build those things separately I'd say your cost would be more than that. My only issue with it is the way it is setup doesn't work for my needs.... nothing wrong with that. But if what you need is one pedal that does everything this thing goes it isn't a bad deal.

Nice, I hear Switchfoot is road testing that shit now!
Devi should be more pissed about being associated with Switchfoot than JHS, imo.

That upcharge is minimal when you realize it comes "Switchfoot Tested and Approved". Money well spent gents!

Goes great with my Behringer: Hyper Time Machine (timeline clone) and my Behringer: Super Flange Master (flanger hoax clone).
Blue LEDs, though.
Also, if you're gonna bitch about a $350 price tag, heh....heh... stick around, that'll seem reasonable soon enough. And definitely never go to the D*A*M forums.

Well, I'd like to, but I won't be getting it. Can't afford, and can't see myself using it.

My first few pedals I bought on eBay, and wouldn't go over $40 for. Though my first pedal was $175.

like the fuzz, don't like the fuss. I'll just stick to purchasing what's in stores and readily available. builders attitudes come in soo many colors. I'm gonna save myself some grief and interact with the ones that respect professionalism for my $$$.
