Post things that are interesting and fun to do that are ABSOLUTELY FREE (yes playing music does count but every time I pick up my bass the GAS starts to seep out)
Internet links, books you can get from your library, cool places to hike, ect. (and for you internet pirates out there, no torrent shit...besides keeping it a 100% is half the challenge)

Writing short stories can be a good way to be productive, so can seeing how long you can hold your breath. You could also try to come up with a list of things to do when you're broke.

When I was unemployed for a year I made it my mission to beat Final Fantasy IV using my own save file. Back when it was still known as Final Fantasy II, I made it to near the end, got my ass severely kicked, and then proceeded to use my friend's save file to see the ending. I simply could not be bothered with earning enough experience points to beat all those god damn dragons and head things at the end. For the next 15 years, I always felt like I was lacking as a person since I cheated like that, and never had enough time to play the game again until I was without work. So I proved it to myself that yes, I could beat Zeromus without relying on the kindness of strangers.
