Well there are 2 left, Max!
And batch 3'll be in about a month, Tom says.

The Snowdrift is the most "organic" sounding and feeling fuzz I've ever played :D I also have no concern with needing to clean-blend it, as it's got plenty of lows and mids in most settings on its own

has anyone actually compared this with the fingerprint yet? i know people use to talk of the "hazy" character of the fingerprint a lot, i wonder if the snowdrift retains this? also wonder if there should be a separate "snowdrift vs. (compared to) fingerprint" thread... i'm just curious how alike/similar their sound is.

I don't mean to jump in myself like I'm pimping this thing and saying yes its everything everyone ever wanted it to be, but I can tell you that the hazy/dreamy/shoegazey sound of the FP was exactly what I wanted to start with and build upon. Its up to others to judge if I was successful with that, but add a heavy helping of delay and reverb and you've basically got a fuzz pedal designed for maximum hazy-ness. it can still cut through for dry rhythm and do muff-like leads, but my love for the FP and the design for the SD all come from my adoration of shoegaze style music. I'm going to be doing a series of videos very soon illustrating all the different ways you can use it... but this was something central to the idea from day 1.

also... you folks don't go all nutty on me about when they'll be ready, 'cause god only knows when/if they will be, but I'm going to be trying to design a new lo-fi delay and lo-fi reverb that will be specifically catered to shoegazey sounds. This stuff is the essence of SS's design philosophy.

:hello:

-Mike

I can't wait to have mine arrive and I'll try and get a shoegaze clip up. Also, I would vote for a lo-fi reverb to be the next SS pedal. ::):

It would be nice to have a regular version ----powdercoated and with some graphics designed by Laura Bennett. You could even do limited runs of 20 or 30 or 50 or 100 (whatever makes financial sense) and then have her design a new graphic for another run. This would let more people get the pedal at a lower price point, you make more money, and all pedals would still feature a limited edition artwork by Ms. Bennett. Everyone is happy! :poke: :thumb: :omg: :animal:
