pearls before swine bothers me, because as a comic snob and future author (i really wanna make graphic novels)

the style of it's gags is just so distracting. its funny, but your eye is always brought to the last panel because its VASTLY different from the rest of the panels, which are usually very similar to eachother, so the joke is ruined before the setup. this style really only works in 4koma style (vertical gag strips) for westerners because we're used to reading ACROSS, our eyes are much less likely to be drawn to the bottom panel, thus allowing for the "bang gag" style that PbS does so well.

I see your point but also this make me like it too... Actually I read so much fucking manga any more that when I read a western style comic I have to readjust reading it the wrong way'round...

I checked out the site and it's a real cool comic. Reminds me of Calvin & Hobbes for some strange reason.

Are there any physical copies/anthologies out? I don't want to click my way through 4 years of single strips
