Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
..was hands down the most fantastic movie i have ever seen.
the directing was fabulous,
and there were so many smashing pumpkins references it made me smile so much.
Seriously, perfect.
NOT TO FORGET! my friends in Anamanaguchi did the soundtrack to the video game. COOL AS HELL.
the graphic novel is sweet too.

Loved it. I kept exclaiming "That's a smashing pumpkins shirt! That's the Zelda song! That's another pumpkins shirt!"
Really bummed it completely tanked, it's only made 30m so far (the budget was 60m).
Poor marketing (the trailer is terrible) + a terribly niche (yet awesome movie) = box office bomb

Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
if you like video games, play in a band, love comic books, are a nerd and love rock 'n' roll this movie is for you.
all of the Sex Bob-Omb songs were written by beck... so.. yeah.
it's perfect.
Not to mention some Metric & Broken Social Scene action.

Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
Never before has a movie's soundtrack made me love really bad distortion sounds as the Sex Bob-omb songs in this movie. And it made me kind of wonder whether I could put a strat pickup in an acoustic, into a DS1, into a Peavey amp, and have it sound amazing.
Full disclosure: my girlfriend and I read the graphic novels as they came out / had the later issues on preorder before they were out, and generally love Scott Pilgrim bunches.

Sex Bob-omb(aka Beck) are amaaaaaaaazing. I'm pretty sure I've never gotten a full on stiffy faster than when that first song started. Best rock movie soundtrack since Velvet Goldmine if I do say so myself. Also full of lulz.
Good moveh. I nearly cried when the ric blew up though.

Loved the comic. Didn't see the movie in fear it would butcher it.
