As I dig further, what do I find...?
MONEY!!!!
NSFW: show
I'm a BIG fan of socks and I'll be pimping these around the house so the family knows whose the REAL boss.
Image

I can only imagine what goodness lies ahead for me here. Either secret microfilm govt secrets, absolutely the most degrading and disgusting porn, some bootleg movies, a nasty virus to take control of my life, or NEW MUSIC TO CHECK OUT!!!!! or maybe all of the above?!?! Will have to plug it in
Image

and oh hello there lover! You had me at "The" but I'm drooling over "world famous creamy garlic" but what's the move here...put it on leaves? or do I use this on pizza or to dip cheesedoodles in?
Image

and YAS!!! perfection. a 4 pack no less. I'll be the hero when I slip these under everyone's seat tonight before dinner!!! And with one on my seat too, I'll start blaming the kids because why would I whoopie cushion myself. Hilarity is certain to ensue!! This is awesome.

for those keeping track, here's the whole thing.

What can say beyond wow and thank you? This was my first secret satan with ILF and I'm floored with the generosity and thoughtfullness in all of these boxes. What a wonderful crew and place. Cheers to all, I can't wait to see the rest of the boxes. Thanks for being cool when I just appeared a few years ago and inserted myself as a regular-ish poster. It's a really wonderful community and this secret satan shines a spotlight on it. Have a wonderful holiday, merry christmas, happy new year, and restful break from work...let's make 2022 a great year.

Aaaahhh ILF is LOVE

Now, as a thanks for almost infecting Vidret with covid, i got this amazing package which combines the most vidrety of things:

- An incredibly cool and versatile module I had never even heard about. It is amazing and fits in better with my system than anything I could have imagined myself
- A christmas westboro baptist church t-shirt which is doom AF
- a free gym visit, which is nice that we are practically neighbours and this gym is close, and I really need to go
- a USB memory stick with a bunch of anime to plow through while I self isolate. With written mini-reviews by the man himself

Like that one time I posted a pic on instagram and realizing only later it was a pic of me without pants, I have now posted an image of myself in westboro baptist church merch with my fly open. Classic image to come haunt me as i one day attempt a political career

Last night after the wife and kids went to bed and I'd done the evening cleanup, I got to have my fun.
I received three huge boxes from cantremember which were helpfully numbered.
Image

I could feel and hear the sloshing in #1 so I knew to handle gently.
Image
What a great variety of Arizona beers! I've never had anything from these breweries and these varieties all seem really interesting.

#2 seemed like it was about vinyl record sized and I wasn't wrong.
Image
But there was also some bonus hot sauce! I got into the 3 Kings last night and it was very tasty.
I inherited a nice collection of christmas records from family but this one was not among them. This is definitely a choice addition.

Everything was very well wrapped but the decorations in #3 were such a delight.
Image
Image

Following the instructions on the note, I opened the one package to find a mysterious etched pedal in an ADD box labeled one-off. The other, I was more familiar with from clips online.
Image
Algorithms has definitely been on my radar. Every so often I get sad that I don't have any of the glitchy digital Dwarfcraft stuff that passed through my collection. I think this will fill that void. The note tells me that the other is something in the vein of an HM2 EQ and I definitely don't have anything like that in my collection.
Also in that box were some download codes, patch cables, and ILF Barefoot Buttons kept cozy with Snoopy.

So much great stuff!
Image

Wayne, thank you so much! You made this a very merry christmas for me!

Wow! This is way intense this year! I don't know where to really start with this hear because it is A LOT! Thank you! is the first place.

Yeah so...My dog was so really stoked on the treats and immediately claimed the stuffed fox. She saw it as I opened the box and grabbed it and ran off with it. I was a little bummed about that because it is super soft but she totally loves it so it's whatever, sorry! I honestly don't really know what to say about most of this though because it's so overwhelming! Really just WOW!

Thank you so much, Isobel! This was easily the best part of my entire year!

Image
:yay: I posted a photo! :yay:

ILF, you guys are really awesome! While the secret satan thing is very fun and exciting, it's also super stressful for me because I feel a lot of anxiety about giving gifts and It really bums me out that I wasn't able to find any local sweets. I plan to follow up with that though once the farmers market gets back into the swing of things, they're the local treat hoarders. That said, I'm very happy to see that what I sent was cool! :!!!:

Happy Holidays everyone!

OH and also 666th post!

By the info I have, only Qersty, Ugly Casanova, and Heraclitus Akimbo are still waiting to receive their boxes.

If anyone else is waiting to receive, or if you believe your mark whom I haven’t named has not yet received, please let me know.

And the rest of you who have received, do some frigging show and tell already!

Sooooo, opened the box on Christmas morning but only got to post about it now.

fcknoise. Is. The. Man.

Let me start saying that I absolutely had no idea of what to expect. I mean, I gave very little to none indications in the "wishlist" thread because I didn't even know what to wish for  I have been quite.. accommodating? with my gear-related needs this year, so I bought a lot of stuff out of curiosity or for fun - the no gigs/no rehearsals combo has a lot to do with this - therefore I got to play with a lot of the pedals I wanted to check. So that's why I had no expectations, and Nils absolutely kicked the ball out  of the park with the most appreciated gear gift i could (not) expect!

Lots of things to say here
Let's start with the first thing I opened, a small package with something unidentifiable only by touching it..
turns out it is a MOTHERF** RAINDEER HEART.
A real HEART.
HOW METAL IS THAT?
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURGH!
i am equally curious and fearful of knowing what it tastes like, but NYE is gonna be the date.

At this point i was already losing my mind wondering what weridness was wrapped in the other packages...so i moved to the second one..
the sourest sweeeeeetest sweden sweets from heaven. No pic cause they are already mostly gone, for the joy of our dentist.

Third one is a hilarious Zappa shirt from a swedish guitar shop, super fun. I love white tees and it fits perfectly, actually i am wearing it right now (side note - my daughter laughed all day long telling everyone at the Christmas lunch that i got a shirt of a grumpy old man sitting on the toilet  ).

Time for the unequivocal vinyl. IT's from a Swedish band named Neutral. Tapeloops/gazey/distoredpsych nordic weirdness? yes please!Never heard of them before now but i listened to them yesterday morning while mounting some shelves in the kitchen and It fit the awful weather perfectly  no seriously, i enjoyed it a lot. :thumb: :thumb:

Ok, there are only two things left, let's start with the medium-sized package- Weights like a book so it's probably a book right?..NO.
It's gear. It's a MAE Part Garden.

Image

WHAAAT?
I have been wanting to check this one out for ages but never enough to pull the trigger.
Totally, totally unexpected as i didn't even remember i had expressed vague interest for it..amazing!! it comes at a perfect time to close the year of the dirt with adequate grandeur!
Will post a complete review as soon as i plug the guitar and play with it (see following point to know why i haven't yet)

So now.. i was getting extremely anxious..if the gear was in the middle box, WHAT'S in the BOG BOX???
:poke: :poke: :poke: :poke:

An Arturia Drumbrte Impact.

Image

:whoa: :whoa:
Dude, seriously? you outdid yourself in ways i can't even express.
A M A Z I N G
Unexpected? absolutely.
Appropriate? most definitely.
Nils was also so kind to include a MIDI cable so I connected it straight away to the MInilogue and..BAM! MAGIC! it ignited back in me the Synth/Drum machine sparkle in ways i totally couldn't imagine. I have been playing with it for 3 days straight. Took it to our bands usual Christmas Jam, played it with my daughter, my girlfriend, already recorded about 15 different patterns etc etc..I am having so much fun that i still have to plug the guitar in the Part Garden, i have used it only with the Drumbrute so far (and it sounds amazing)

So, what more can i say? nothing, i am speechless.
Thank you again Nils, THANK YOU!

That is the most Portland box I have ever made

Poison Idea is crusty punk rock that was born in PDX in the early 80's and became a legendary band - a LOT of musicians out there reference Kings of Punk which was by far the one album that the most commercial success. Pantera even covered the badge which was a PI song. Its good shit! Makes me miss how this town used to be a great place for independent live music. Long live the pig is a reference to Pig Champion which was the bands lead guitar player, a obese rude punk rocker who gave zero fucks.

I was nervous about the super moon because I AB'd it against the Walrus Audio Slo and didnt like it at first. I even had the guy put it back in the case, but when I cranked that third knob it was glorious with a shit load of gain pushed through the amp (I know you have a lot of fuzz / dirt) . For a little three knobber it has a lot more character than the EQD Ghost Echo and way more unique sounding than any of the multi reverbs on the market.

The card is from my five year old who is way more artistic than me :trippy:

I am glad you are happy! It was a blast to put together, you were a hard mark to shop for -

Excellent choices in the box, thanks again  Perhaps for next year I will have to post more in the stop not posting thread.
