Love that pancake drum!
How is that mesa compared to the HK ones you had before? Speaking of high gain silly tube pedals: Have you tried out the seymour duncan ones? Seems to be the same niche of real tube pres in a pedal

Re: Setup of the day thread?
The mesa sounds more like a amp, where the H&K sounds more like a OD pedal [a good one but still pedally], also the K&H not having a bypass was annoying.. Really the H&K v1 tubman is a lot better pedal than the big one, it's just annoying to change settings... I wouldn't put up with any of this if I was't using piezo equipped instruments
No, I never tried any of the Duncans.. The idea of not being able to replace the tubes on the 90's/2000s ones turned me off on their stuff as things go wrong sometimes... are they making a unit with a normal tube?

no i think they quit making them. But like desoldering a tube shouldnt be that bothersom, right? since its just a preamp you shouldnt have to change them often

But... I like to get out my big bucket of tubes and try a bunch to see what I like best every time I buy tube gear...

Immerse before dirt is always fabulous.
I have so many pedals, I forgot about this phaser (how could I considering it's bigger than a moogerfooger?!
Apologies - I missed this! Well, it's a lot of fun, I never tried a Sam Ash Fuzz-stainer clone (or original) before, so when I had an opportunity to pick one up cheap I went for it.cosmicevan wrote: How's that Tomkat fuzz?
Only tried it on bass so far. Love the way the tone knob brings in loads of cool flavours - gets close to known territories: muff-esque for sure albeit never as heavy, some say tonebender-esque too but the Tomkat Bender does that much better. I like how I can get a lot of bite even a low level. There is an internal trimpot set to minimal gating, I need to play with it to see how it impacts the sound. Early days, but so far I like it a lot.

love the flood settings on the Modmax - sold mine to help pay for my wedding ; later picked up the filter. Still kicking myself for not jumping on the last Ring Mod that became available...that is an awesome signal chain.

Switched the power around and added in the Polarized Flutter. This thing is a monster of possibilities. Just updated Cloudy too so now have some presets to jump to!!!

Re: Setup of the day thread?

Been throwing the expressionator at every pedal that can take expression to see what happens and this funky spatio-glitch combo was ace. The dirt pedal in the Meatball fx loop was actually totally unnecessary. Sometimes less is more...

Thanks buddy! I love the Meatball, but it is one of these pedals where small changes have a huge influence on the sound - I always end up super annoyed.

Shitty pic but fun times! Wanted to do this for a while but couldn't be arsed to plug in 30+ cables to sync 3 pedz.

- splitting signal in 2 using the Transmutron,
- signal 1 going to SL-20
- signal 2 going to EHX Hog
- split again into 2 from the Hog: Dry OUT going to Gravitas and Main Output going to Goatkeeper
- MIDIPal used as main clock and giving BPM to Kenton Thru-5 via MIDI
- SL-20 taking it straight via MIDI cable
- Gravitas taking it via Empress Midibox
- Goatkeeper taking via Boss DB-90
- EHX 8-Step taking it straight via MIDI cable and using a different subdivision to arpeggiate the HOG
- all 3 signals go into the Behringer MX400 and the output goes into the Cabzeus mono.
