Mandatory sales tax for online purchases almost nullifies discounts in some instances, but I still sprung for a Red Panda Particle V2 and Mooer Slow Engine that were 16-20% off each. It will be interesting to directly compare the Particle with my Bananana Mandala and granulate reverse swells.

Sonar arrived the other day, and it's a really fun pedal! It really chops more than most trems, and all the extra controls are great.

Digiverb inbound. Thought I had made it through the holidays unscathed and just happened to stumble upon a decent deal. Looking forward to trying out the reverse and gated reverb.

The cherry on top of the heap of Black Friday 2019 purchases (after also snagging a discounted Subdecay M3) will be a DOD 250 RI (should never have sold my prior one/double thanks @echorec). Definitely need those new Sterlite cabinets now.

FInally accepting that I like working on the computer, I bought Eventide's Mangledverb plugin on sale for $20 and some Soundtoys for $25 each.

Debating buying Presonus Studio One while it's on sale.

Besides the multiple switches thing, and all the extra functionalities, how do the patches sound compared to the zoom? Are they more realistic? Just curious.

Like a friend said: the HX Stomp is like an hifi version of the Multistomp. Soundwise it's the very same hi-end quality you'll find in Strymon, Meris, Eventide, etc...
For example the Particle Reverb: the Line6 original sounds brighter and wider than the Zoom, which is a bit dull in comparison. But they do both to very same job!

In some ways you can compare the HX to the MS (presets are a chain of multiple FXs), whereas the HX gives you a lot more possibilities of switching, control, and setup.
For example I've prepared a preset for a gig I'll play this very week: a 45 minutes live soundtrack for silent movies. I created this preset so that the 3 footswitches can turn on/off different blocks of FX (mostly reverbs in this case), which I can also combine together to achive more sounds, plus I'm using the snapshots to access 2 additional presets of reverbs (a synth ambient pad one, based on the particle with 100% wet mix, and a huge super long almost infinite reverb), the FX chain is the very same, only the setting on the FX are different.
This ways I can spare a lot of time, which would lose on the MS70 scrolling thru all the presets.

Also the idea is to use the HX in case I need a very minimal setup (for example: HX, SS20 preamp, Drop, and maybe 2 more small pedals, which can easely fit on a Metro16 frame for example).

But I'm keeping the Multistomps: these are still wonderful/powerful tools, depending on the situation/needs, and to be honest... from an audience point of view (or listening): who'll tell the difference in a live setup/mix?

Man, I knew this was impressive from the reviews, but it feels like a dream.
