I skipped this when he came to my town but perhaps shouldn't have? IDK it felt like a lot of money for not music at the time and maybe I had other plans. :idk: Probably not good plans though.

Time will show! It was pretty expensive! Probably the most expensive show tickets I've ever bought, but we have great seats.
But the best show I've ever seen was also Nick Cave, so I have faith in him. ;)

MONO in Oslo.

But also, these three great bands playing in Trondheim next Friday:

am now sorted for Stereolab in DC 9/25 and Ride in Asheville NC 9/28. thinking about seeing Ride again in DC on 9/22 cos they play different sets every night. i would also like to see the Psychedelic Furs in Richmond on 9/26, but that would probably be slicing the pickle a bit too thin.

Swervedriver are coming back to the US in October, and this time they're the headline act. since the tour is happening during my vacation, i'm going to catch them in Boston since i'll be in upstate NY/VT/NH.

Scored tickets to go see Bon Iver in October. I haven't heard him mentioned around here too much, but I actually love his last album (22, A Million) and I'm rather liking his new album (i,i). Lots of glitched out samples and synths on both albums, which are amazing. Excited to hear the Messina in person

Info on Swervedriver dates? My Google-fu is failing. [never mind—found it]

Need to lock in Ride. Probably ought to do Stereolab, too, but I’ve always been so up and down on them. (If only my ‘aughts hang would have skipped “Bonnie and Clyde” as anyone with the sense of hearing does . . .)

Anyone doing Boris’s DC show? Thinking about it on ILF rep realizing that I haven’t yet really listened to them.

They can be pretty fun live. If you appreciate amp worship and slightly aimless loud noises.

i am bummed that Mogwai are not playing in the East, which seems illogical since they'll have to go through most of the US on the way home anyhow. :idk:

I saw these guys in May so I missed posting about it but... if you can see BIG | BRAVE live... DO IT! ILF's very own Ibarakishi showed me them. The show was transcendent.

As a bonus... and I truly bought tickets to see BIG | BRAVE, it turned out they were opening for PRIMITIVE MAN. I had been trying to see them for YEARS and it did not work out. "Caustic" was my album of the year in 2017. It was a great show.
