Cheap Multi-Reverb with Reverse

Postby Blood_mountain » Tue Jul 23, 2019 12:35 pm

Hi Folks,

I have it in my head that I need a dedicated reverb pedal for the effects loop of my Superego, so I thought I'd poll the community wisdom for ideas on a small-ish, cheap-ish reverb that is passable and does multiple types of reverb, in particular a reverse reverb. I've looked at the Behringer Reverb Machine and Line 6 Verbzilla, but I don't think either of those has a reverse. Thoughts?

Digitech Digiverbbbbb. I've had it for almost six years now and it gets put on almost every board I put together. The Gated mode has been my go to but in my most recent project I have been using reverse for staccato leads to create a call and response effect.

It also has the best digital spring there is. Just ask JonnyAngle.

I played around with an EHX Holy Grail Max a couple weeks ago and it was a lot of fun. They’re cheap too.

I’ve gone through tons of reverbs, but the digitech polara is the one I’ve stuck with.

The Polara doesn't have a mix, I found the reverse pretty much useless. Bought a cheap Digiverb, that's been great.

I love my digiverb... it gets used all the time. The plate setting is great as well as the reverse. get a digidelay as well and put the guitar into the digiverb set to reverse on 100% wet, then put that into the digidelay setot reverse at 100% wet and roughly the same delay length as the digiverb and you've got an instant weird synth / pad thing :)

Sounds like a few votes for digiverb.
I’ll keep an eye out for one. Thanks!

And what about the Digitech Hardwire RV-7? One has come up locally for $100 CAD (about $80 USD). Thoughts?

No personal experience, but assume that one is "updated" to sound "better."

RV-7's reverse doesn't have a mix control if that's important to you.
