"Get on your goddamn knees and tweak that fuzz, baby!!" :thumb:

This joint is cool because it fosters folks who really love fuzz, not just the clowns to the left of us, the jokers to the right of us who have maybe tried a fuzz pedal at one time, no big thang. I think most of the independent builders are still off the mainstream radar, so we don't get a lot of goofers showing up pretending to know things. Less on the fads and fashions. Participation by many of the builders connects us all in a way that is highly functional and enhances the love. Guitarists, bassists, synthoids, keyboardists, noiseheads, engineers, builders, amateurs, pros, fans. Peace through fuzz!

I come from a very small, local board with only about 30 people that post with any kind of regularity (a little of under 700 members) so ILF and the Devi Ever boards are just right in terms of size and thread life. I once tried the Bridge 9 forum, and man, what a nightmare! Threads were very hard to keep up with, they had way too much unlabeled nsfw, and a lot of the time, it was just a bunch of folks trying to hook up. This is much better.

How big do you really want this to get. I look at it like the pre Nirvana post Nirvana music scene. I got into punk in the early 80's Damned,Stooges,Buzzcocks and along comes Hardcore
Black Flag,Necros,Minor Threat out of that came Husker Du, Butthole Surfers, Sonic Youth and for me 60's Garage. We always wished more people ""got it". Along comes Nirvana,(who I loved) along with Mud Honey,Tad,The Wipers,U-Men ect. Well as we all know Nirvana exploded and got signed to Geffen. I felt like my music scene had been raped and pillaged. I refused to buy Nevermind (great record) and I still don't own a copy (wish I did). Everyone was looking for the next Nirvana. In interviews Curt would say don't look for the next Nirvana check out Scratch Acid ect. We have our Devi Evers,Fuzzhuggers,Small Sound Big Sound ect while they have there Digi Tech,Boss ect. It's the same thing. I don't think a lot of these builders could or would want to keep up withe the demand for 10.000 pedals a month(Electro Harmonix who do make cool stuff). I like the intamacy of this forum It does seem fairly large to me I am not sure how many regulars there are here but it's way more than is in my personal life and I don't know if I could deal with 10,000 fuzz lovers. BabbleFuzzBabbleFuzzBabbleFuzz oh and don't forget Modulation.
...and then my mind split open.

I'm used to tb and all the fun stuff that happens in ot over there, but my love of fuzz and things that can make the earth split in two with my bass are why I'm here. You guys are pretty damn spiffy I must say.
