It's just 4 resistors from key places, on a toggle, and then a "custom" transistor package.. which I kind of feel is manure since the Ge perc sounds great with like literally every transistor I've tried.

I've gone over this thread with much gusto! This was a circuit I hadn't tried yet...so I bought a Land Devices HP-2 and it was way, way too dark for me. I have a few I am watching on Reverb (Latent Lemon, JDM, Zander)…

(My amp is always set clean If that makes a difference w/ particular builds)

Any recent reviews or thoughts on HP circuits in the last handful of months? Anything new to report? Any new favorites?

It sounds to me like you want a straight up Escobedo jerkulator. It's no frills, silicon, pretty bitey, not harsh though. I built one recently I'd loan you

Land Devices HP-2 is definitely dark. Dirge Even Anguish is nice and bright. (I like 'em both. )

Gonna probably put up my only played twice for less than 15 minutes each time Latent Lemon 1000 Hurts along with some other stuff in BST in a couple of days. Bought new last year, but really just to compare to the ones I made and to hear that f it had the same octave down in the posted videos. Played it then and today for a bit. Sounds great but I think I burned myself out on the circuit last year. If anyone wants to hit up before I can post it’ please do!

I didn't hear it. I opened it up to have a look and think I remember there being a trim pot inside but I didn't fuck with it nor can remember what it's purpose was.
