Good choices both. Though, no couch, because milady's cats and dogs sit there and I'm allergic...a more than fair trade off for her tolerance of my music/gear obsession.
Started out jumping around various standards seeing if milady would call out the tunes (she did). Then as the sherry took effect moved on to Nefertiti, which is about as far out as milady tolerates. It's a nice sweet spot though.
I reserve On the Corner for cognac time. VSOP
Of course, left to my own devices, I normally skip the sherry and move straight to On the Corner, if not Agharta.
"In a moment of unparalleled genius, Noel Parachute headed off this potential disaster by unplugging the microphone."
If we are talking of pairs with alcohol I think we can all agree that most of Miles pairs well with that "after the second drink but before the fourth" phase
Except Bitches Brew, which is OK even after the fifth.

You made me want to listen to Nefertiti, been a while since I did. Really love Williams work on the title track.

Chasin' the voodoo down
Also, Tony on Nefertiti? Endorsed
When I get in that particular groove, the Live in Europe '67 and Freedom Jazz dance bootleg boxes also come into play. :love':

Uuuuh, tasty session!
I don't know Miles that much to be aware of specific live albums worth a listen, just stick to the studio records, but I will definitely spin that live in Europe tomorrow.
