Yeah Chip was playing through a sunn concert lead and a mark bass little mark. Well, trying to. After the first song he realized the mark bass was really quiet no matter how much he turned it up so we were treated to 5 or so minutes of him troubleshooting and swearing about guitar center fucking him and how his mom was right about his life while Lee laid down some drum fills. It never ended up working so he just cranked the sunn and still sounded like a fucking monster. It was honestly super endearing and funny.

Watching them setup/sound check now. Looks like the beta lead though a 6x10, some little peavey that might be from a PA?, and a Crate 412

Nice! I dig the tabletop stuff from a musicians sanity point but it doesn't quite move the air the same way.

Leaving the state Friday to see Genocide Organ in LA on Saturday. I kinda want to stop at a Denny's, might get syrup on my balaclava tho.

I've missed just about every band I wanted to see this year. :( Oh well.

i'm the opposite...got to/getting to see most of my surviving favorite bands this year. Slowdive killed it in Brooklyn; next up is MBV in New York.
