Yes, though it's not really possible much in Texas where there's no public lands. I've done some hobo camping in bigger trail networks and ridden out to camp spots, but it's nothing IG worthy or sexy like the GDR or whatever.
It fun though. Pack light and compact, put it all on your bike, roll around at your own pace, camp and chill.

I put some 45mm tires on, a flared bar and a 46/30 sub compact crank and this bike is a ton more fun now. Now its super comfy and it feels so much faster with the bigger tires for some reason. Maybe the 32mm slicks I had were really bad tires or something.
I need to put a bigger cassette on for some bike packing though even with the subcompact.

Looking good! My old neighbor had something similar but his was bigger/kind of seemed more ridiculous but it was so fun to mash around on. You could tear around the neighborhood so fast. It's probably the thing about him that I miss the most
My daughter and wife still take my kickbike, so I must buy another ones....
It is perfect to town - small, handy and quick

That's cool
I'm not a big fan of bikes as a whole[I have my reasons] but I have always wanted one of these

So, you'd ride it backwards?
Yeah, I'd rather have something with pedals. Like a Brompton (even though I don't really like 16" wheels).

Does anyone have a lead on a water bottle cage that fits a Nalgene size bottle?
I know of two (crust bikes and widefoot designs), but both are out of stock. Well, widefoot has some colored versions in stock but they'd look so weird on my black bike. Olive might be okay because the bags I often run are like a military green pannier and a tannish color stem snack bag.
This might be too picky, but I'd prefer if it looks like the classic, simple aluminum bottle cage, just wider.

I scored this bad boi for $20 on craigslist. It came with a new seat, which is not in the photo!
It's a conglomerate of different bikes, but it's mostly Mongoose!

VO makes one, it's simple and works well.

Univalve, those are all so rad! I can’t imagine bikepacking on a single speed. You must be in way better shape than me haha
And thanks Nogods! I’ll order one of those in the next couple days

Thanks for the comments. Love my bikes and ride them every day.
BTW, with the pink one i did 280km at one day this summer. Kind of nuts but i wanted to ride from Karlsruhe to Koblenz at the river Rhine. And i survived it
