Do you or have to ever played in a band that has had women in it? I think if you have you would get more of the why this isn't seen as just having fun.. Also the reason for the strong movement against this type of thing is because of a extremely long culture of "well, boys will be boys". I've never really heard any of them talk about the industry at all. Most musicians I know (male and female) don't really get super into gear. I don't care what offends Trump people. There was a brewery here that had a beer called "Dick Smasher" and no one batted an eye.
