Lead is Spectrum (weird wavform + saw sub)-> Three Sisters -> Optomix -> DLD, Bass is Cursus Iteritas (walsh) -> Optomix -> DLD (though the delay isn't very obvious). Spectrum is sequenced by SQ-1 in random mode, Cursus is quantized by the Penrose accepting CV from Maths, which is doing the envelopes for each voices. Three Sisters is receiving some cut off modulation from maths and the sawtooth wave from the Spectrum, which also has some . Reverse on the Spectrum delay line is trigger by the other delay's clock out. This is just a rough overview and wasn't necessarily the best sounds I got from the patch but I really love that Cursus basslineThat module can do a lot of sounds but it's so fucking fat for bass.

[quote="oscillateur" If you have more details about the Tallin's sound (or a video with just one simple enough sound going through it with some CV-ing and knob twiddling going on) that would be great
.[/quote]
quick attempt at a demo vid with Chord Mode on Plaits (first the main, then the aux) going into Tallin at different settings, then a little bit at the end with a clean main and aux outs, and a copy of the main being skipped in and out from Batumi -

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
you're welcome!
and i'm an idiot. i forgot to do the part where you plug one output into the other input and get constant clipping.
but they ensured it's a soft clipping so no matter how hard i've pushed it, it's not that gross digital clipping badness.
it is GOOD.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Alright, someone help me figure out where to put a morphagene here. I have two ideas, one involves losing several smaller things and shuffling a bit, the second idea is "can I live without Maths?"
Edit: Third idea is lose maths and O_c and get something in 8hp to do EG things - Pip Slope + Clep Diaz?

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
silly jammy jam. drums through UltraFold then Jove, Plaits in vocal mode main and aux out, no effects, just modulation and a random into FM, all from Sapel.
just teared down the last of my setup. excited for new place, sad about leaving where i've lived for more than a decade.

What about using the Piqued app in the O+C? It's not the ideal EG given that all the parameters need to be accessed individually, but it'd quickly give you an idea of if you could live without Maths.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
I filled a card for the TipTop TG ONE with hip hop hits and now I am the Doctor Dray of noisecore.
I rec'd an Erica Pico Mod to use with a Piston Honda mkII. It works perfectly well.
A Malekko Mute 4 was scheduled to arrive yesterday and did not. It replaces my broken Bastl ABC. Fuck you, ABC!
The Mantis case SHOULD hold the incoming /W but it sure as hell doesn't look like it right now.
I'm going to buy a 104 hp case. I want the Synthrotek because it has more power connectors than the Make Noise. Is there a reason the Synthrotek one sucks donkey dingus whereas the Make Noise excels masterfully in this realm? Or should I "man up" and nab a 2nd Mantis?
Good sweet Christ.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Synthro cases used to use shitty psus that a lot of module makers bitched about. i've read a ton of responses to "my module acts weird" where after some discussion the answer was "get a real psu that is the only one we don't even try to do any support for".
so, like most of his modules, it's not got the best record for quality control?
and he's an ass.
GET A 17U CASE. BE CONTENT FOR A GOOD THREE MONTHS.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
I sold my synthrotek case because I was getting weird things happening. It clearly could not provide as much power as it claimed. I think it was supposed to be 2.5 A and +/- 12 and I should have been at half that and yet, if I left it on for an hour, I'd start having problems that could only be fixed by disconnecting a module. This was after turning it on and off and finding that things were more fucked up upon reboot because it couldn't handle the extra start up current needed. If I let it set for a few hours and tried again, it was fine, though. It once shit out on my while my friend and I were recording and that was unforgivable. Bought something with a Make Noise power board, which is only 1.4 A +/- 12, and have more stuff connected (not ideal) and have not had an issue since. So yeah, Synthrotek PSU's suuuuuuckk.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
As long as you're under current limits, you shouldn't have an issue using something like a flying bus cable off of one of the power headers. It's not ideal, but the entirety of eurorack's power standard isn't, either...
