I like those pickups man. I got Texas specials in my telecaster, and they don't have enough body to them really.. but I did the 4-way mod with a bigger bass cap (68n) and in series they sound pretty large.
What kind of amp are you jamming them through?

INstalled new pickups/guts in my cheapo SG special copy
(Some wax from the pickups had come loose in the fitting/adjustment and smeared on the covers)
sounds verrrrrryyyy nice now

Yeah, I have texas specials that came standard in my stratocaster and they're very thin and shrill sounding.
Just a Boss Katana at the moment. My big upgrade isn't ready until monday.

Thanks! It came stock with some sort of horrible stacked P90s that sounded Bad™.
I got some
proper P90s from Alegree here in the UK when eBay did a 20% off deal around xmas and they're MUCH better.

Kemper in. Big learning curve on this thing but it sounds great.
