Elta is doing a mini Polivoks for $500 (available this Spring). I'm a bit skeptical of this, because I just returned two of their Polivoks filters. The LFO noise was brutal. Anytime the Fast setting was engaged, the LFO throb was always active, even when no notes were being played. If they add a buffer or change some components, perhaps this will be remedied. It was a dealbreaker for me, though, and honestly the Polivoks-inspired filter by Erica just sounds much better head-to-head. It has a much fuller sound.

Modal is now shipping the CRAFTrhythm (CRAFTsynth companion). It's also $99 and works with a tandem app for uploading samples.

I’ve been looking into that “mini Polivoks” and it’s actually a little more complicated than the name suggests. The designer of the original Polivoks made a simplified design of the polivoks with difference vcos and lfos. Apparently that’s what this “mini Polivoks” is. It’s not a remake of the original, it’s a revision of the original.

Here’s a video of the designer demoing a prototype:

Not sure where to stick this, and this seems to have developed the largest in chargest new gear gravitational field, so here is this and what is up with sneaky Malekko if this hasn't been previously vetted?

http://malekkoheavyindustry.com/product/thicken

Multi-tap delay and chorus :idk:

We worked with Colin Newman of Wire on this unique design and the colors are inspired by his Eastwood Signature Model electric guitar.

"THICKEN has 2 selectable multi-tap delay modes plus a separate chorus, for three delay lines total. Spread determines the delay times, and increasing the spread exponentially widens the delay times. With the addition of Preamp, these controls result in mind-blowing, thicker sounds that any serious player needs.

Two modes of SPREAD time: Exponential and Random, selected by holding down the stomp at power connection. In Random mode, the SPREAD control adjusts between smooth and aggressive time transitions."

Sorry if this is nothing new/repeats earlier infos (search revealed nothing)

Seems like just about the only mention of it on the Internet aside from effectsdatabase! But...

This sounds like a really terrible design choice, tbh. It has to be powered cycled to change modes? Maybe it's just phrased poorly?

Yeah, that's head-scratcher. I used to see that method of mode-switching, but not i a while; seems like a few other more user-friendly methods have seen commonly of late....

I mean, I guess they want to keep it all in the same format as their other 6-knob models, but that method is soooo 2003. It's like booting your pedal in safe mode. Assuming hold after X seconds does something else, one would think double/triple tap or hold + turn X knob would've been the obvious ways to go?

I have to say the rainbow look is much better than a wash of green over black.

Scruffie has a new analog vibrato pedal, which can delve into Boards of Canada territory (and more).

The Incinerator (standard) is almost back. Some dealers are taking pre-orders for $350. I would expect Scott at Axe to have some soon.

Bart lists these guys as a US company, but I can't find anything too specific on their homepage or social media. Their Station series has an early bird special at $120. I haven't heard anything too exotic in the demos I skimmed, but they seem decent for the amount of banks you get for the price. They also have an analog chorus, which at $75, almost seems too good to be true. :idk:

I really like the aesthetic of their pedals.
They seem like they're probably comparable to a run-of-the-mill digitech pedal, but they look great.
