Making the thread fairly early so people can hopefully find cheap tickets and hotels!
General info:
YOU bring what you want. Pedals are cool, enormous stacks might be a tad too much. Remember, we all have A LOT of gear, but let's make sure we can also fit the people attending.
Note: You'll be in Europe. We have EU power plugs, so if you plan on bringing anything that requires power (other than batteries) you will need an adapter. I have some 1-spots and a daisy, but EU ILFers; if you have extra power supplies, feel free to bring them along!
Housing: We are in the process of finding a new rehersal space, so we can't guarantee that you'll be able to sleep there like some people have done before. That depends on where we end up. We are looking for places downtown, and Oslo is a fairly small downtown area and public transportation is great, so anywhere in or around the city center will be fine. Ask the people who attended last year about their hotel arrangement and perhaps book the same hotel for early morning and late night hangouts!
UPDATE:
Okay. Little update on the rehersal space situation:
We got a new space! YAY! It's really small! BOO!
So, what we're thinking of doing is renting two fully equipped rooms (one for doomy stuff and one for a more ambient vibe and pedal testing) at a "rehersal hotel" downtown. Each room has a PA, a drum set, a bass amp (EBS Fafner, 1 x EBS PL-2000 6 x 10”) and two guitar amps (we can choose between Marshall JVM205H+Marshall 1936 2×12″, Fender Twin, VOX AC30 CC2 and Orange AD30HTC+Orange PPC 4×12″). For ten hours (five hours on friday and five hours on sunday) it will be about 32 Euros per person, same as renting the mausoluem for eight hours on saturday. So, bottom line is, your music expenses for the entire weekend will be roughly 65 Euros. Does that sound good to everyone?
Your expenses will be:
Plane ticket/other forms of transportation (depends on where you're coming from)
Shuttle bus/train to+from the airport. (bus $8, train $21)
Public transport tickets. This depends on how much we want to go out and about, but they are about $4 each and are valid for an hour (remember to buy these, Vidret!)
Food. While pretty expensive, living on a student diet for 3 days has never killed anyone or their wallets. We're a sharing bunch of folks, so you should never go hungry!
Beer. Our cheapest beer is $1.70 if I remember correctly. It's pretty shitty compared to more fancy pants stuff, but it'll get you drunk. Swedes can maybe bring cheaper beer?
Hotel: See above.
Renting the mausoleum and rehersal space (see above)
Possible schedule for the weekend:
Friday: Meetup downtown Oslo. I pick people up at the train station and point them over to a bar where Eivind will be enjoying himself. Once we're all gathered, we go buy beer+food and head to the noise cavern. Massive jamming session.
Saturday: We play the Vigeland Mausoleum! Afterwards we head to the Vigelands park and have a BBQ!
Later: Head back and jam or paint the town red! It's up to you guys.
Sunday:Record a collective ILFcast episode. Maybe some want to go sightseeing, or if the weather is nice, we can go swimming and wash our dirty bodies together. Jamming at night! Suggestions? Comments?
Monday: Hang out until people have to head back home.
Attendance list:
I will fill this up as we go along. If you're able to come for sure, let me know (the sooner the better). If you're uncertain if you'll make it, tell me when you think you'll know and we'll hold your spot, but try to figure it out as soon as you possibly can. I'll update and repost the list as we go along.
Bold: Going!

Meetup: We're not sure what bar we're to meet up at yet (of course), but all trains and buses stop at Oslo S/Jernbanetorget/the central station. That's where I'll be hanging around on Friday, pointing people in direction of the bar where Eivind awaits you. The address for Oslo S is:
Jernbanetorget 1
0154 Oslo
If people want to know my home address for some reason (if luggage is delayed or something), PM me! When I know exactly who's going to show up, I'll PM you all my email address, cell phone number and other contact information so you don't get lost if we somehow split up.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
