The ARP - I'm an ARP Fetishist so I specifically like those sounds. It does do more than stereotypical ARP sounds...but that's where it eats lightning and craps thunder!!! Mini-Keys are a plus for me, I've seen people complain about those though. I love the Ring Mod on it so much!!!

) It's not a great synth. I kind love shitty synths sounds though so the GAIA really scratches that itch. So again, I like it but would never recommend one. They retailed at $700 when they came out and that is kind of crime against humanity. I paid $350 for mine and still feel like I overpaid
. It also was my 'first synth', it's light, and it does not take up a lot of space so I can deal with it. Plus, I would feel kind of bad pawning it off on someone (kind of like herpes). The thing completely shits the bed on low end (not a good thing).

@IG88 where did you find one and how much did you pay? There was one at a Souther Jersey college but they want $6K.

That one was bought in San Jose California a few months ago. $2600 but it was non-functioning and needed a full recap and still some tweaking to the S+H but for the most part works great.$harkToootth wrote:@IG88 where did you find one and how much did you pay? Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
I got a Casio CZ-1000 at the thrift store. They didn't have a power supply with it so I have no idea if it works. It looks dirty but not beat up. I've attached what the manual says about power supplies, one of the options is car battery (!). Weirdly it says it needs AC power in the manual but the power output jack on it says 9V DC. What should I use on it?
