Unpopular take (not trolling) I think Justin Timberlake is a true professional though and has an admirable work ethic. Being famous seems like a stressful, full-time job. He became famous at such a young age, handled it, and has consistently worked the last 20 years, including projects that branch out from music. From what I can tell, the amount of gigs he takes, dedication to fans, and just a willingness to engage, to me, deserves the success that he has.
If you take a band that I love, but is the inverse, THE STOOGES (and not their current status, rather, in the 70s), sure they made cool sounds and were talented but missing gigs because your an unreliable junkie is not the way to get on the fast track to success.

Strange Tales wrote:I mean how famous is famous here? I don't really consider Unwound or Drive Like Jehu "famous" but they both deserve all of the admiration they got and more.
For a band that I'd consider famous, Coheed and Cambria deserves it.

The only thing Coheed and Cambria deserve is a blindfold before the firing squad.
Drive like Jehu are pretty rad though
