He moved to Jackson, TN. We still made it work when he moved to Jacksonville but now he is 7 hours away. We talked about writing through email and jamming once every other month and then just doing weekend run and week long tours instead of one offs. I could tell though that he was just saying yeah to not be an asshole but he genuinely seemed to want to record. I can understand quitting after the move but all he had to do was say so and we'd be cool. We still cool, but shit is lame to leave us hanging in the studio.

Our old drummer went on tour with other band before we were done recording our second record. He literally left without telling us, while we were in the studio. He thought it would be fine bc basic tracking was done. It's a real mystery why he was rushing through takes and saying things like, "that's about the best you're going to get out of me." It's also a real mystery why we let him go.

Sorry you're dealing with this. Drummers are the worst.

that suck Conky...and Christian too...i never understand drummers either. The more I deal with them the more i realise for all the reliability they have on being in-time with the music, they are completely unreliable in every other facet of their life!

generalisation i know...but i have never met a reliable one...and of anyone ive met they have the most mercenary of attitudes to music and bands.

Lolol

We've got one now, plus he's creative, reliable and a super nice guy. :yay:

Until meeting him, I didn't think drummers like that even existed. Super pumped to go into the studio this April. :!!!:

Not letting this stop me though, so I've spent the last two days learning his parts and practicing to a click. My hands have blisters all over them but I pretty much have it down. Determined to kick this things ass in the studio. And we're gonna be doing a lot of stuff we've always wanted to so but never got to try like trumpets, theremin, drone synth and clean singing. Scared as fuck but never been so excited. Plush I get to record with a Model T and JMP finally.

Band name cred confirmed.

i saw those...if i was in london i would have seen you at the Underworld...its a really good venue.

Also, if you wanted to hit Denmark street for guitar gear...which i wouldn't suggest as they pretty shit shops...but if you did, Wunjo and Regent Sounds are the best two shops on that strip, and there's also Angel Music which is on top Macari's in Denmark Street which sells vintage stuff.

If you want some cafe or food recommendations in London (if you have time for that) let me know, i'll PM you some of my favorite spots

Those keep popping up for me. I keep considering it. I think I'm back on the Jazzmaster train for now.

Part of me wants the old upside down Strat. But jm for nod.
