I think you're confusing a message board for tv. They're both viewed through a screen, but one involves other people that have internal motivations that don't revolve around entertaining you specifically.

Said by the person who took the time to make the entire thread about how everyone else is not talking about gear the right way, because somebody posted something on topic and made a comment you didn't like. So it's ok for YOU to not talk about gear, because you're correcting everyone else, but they're not talking about gear because they're stupid and unfunny and too cool for school? If you don't like a post, ignore it and talk about the thing you want to talk about, instead of making the entire conversation about YOU.
