Does anyone else have avatar dreams, where you are constantly switching characters? I have a lot of dreams, where I'm a kind of omniscient eye, but then I take on the perspective of different characters to perform tasks or to avoid death, like in a video game.

That's pretty cool. Do you have lucid dreams too?


I had a dream last night that I was listening to the new War on Drugs record, but it was Adam singing over the ILF drone compilation.

Since I can't think of anywhere else to post this, I guess here works.

So, I decided to just pull an all nighter and not go to bed at all rather than go to bed at 5:00 in the morning because I stayed up too late.
Eventually, I got tired enough that I went to bed at 10:00 just to take a nap.
By 12:00, I wake up in an, almost, dream state and I took a shower that felt like being drunk in a mirror maze.
I'm pretty sure it's exhaustion, but it's really trippy and just confusing and disorienting. Walking around is like when you're just a little past tipsy, but not actually "drunk" yet.

The other night I dreamed I needed to help a lady cross a river that was about a mile wide. We had something like a large, mostly flat wicker basket. We went running toward the bank of the river and leaped into the air and lay on the wicker basket. I didn't think we would go very far, but to my surprise, we just kept soaring higher and higher until there were wispy clouds around us, and going farther and farther until I realized we would make it all the way across the river. It felt majestic.

I've not been sleeping well for the past month or so, and had a couple of optimistic and vivid dreams, like one where I was spider man, but I had a darker one the other night. Every creature that had ever lived, came back into being, but were largely senseless, and just made from bones or cartilage. I was at a dark stone dockyard, and the green water was lit by a solitary lamp light, and beneath the water were the skeletons of two dinosaurs and a large coelacanth fish with human eyes in the sockets. Then everything was underwater. The darkness was clogged with plankton from all these returned things. The sentient remains coalesced into bigger and bigger forms. A woman in a grey suit drifted by. Her bottom half was grafted into a boney structure like a half-formed ribcage. Her eyes were open, and she looked alive, but didn't blink. After that was a sensation that everything was merging, and I was watching everything form into a funnel-like orifice lined with layers of decaying matter. I commented that I knew what was happening, that this is just going to become part of an even bigger structure made from all this primordial tissue. I could feel I was right, and that all this material was forming into a fractal pattern that would never stop until the end of the universe. That all the sentient matter that ever was, was culminating endlessly into this massive pattern.

Next day I was all like;

Last night I dreamed that this person that my ex cheated on me with came over and he and I dressed up like A Clockwork Orange and slow-danced together at this house party. That's all I really remember.

Last night I dreamt I ran into a childhood friend and woke up halfway through getting his phone number.

Last night I had a dream we were house hunting again. We looked at a house that was big and cheap, but the owners had done all kinds of really janky remodeling to it. Stuff that just didn't make sense and was dangerous. Like they converted half the garage to a family room and that just sort of merged directly into the kichen, but the doorway had no door in it and you had to climb over a couch to get inside. There was a lofty style second story, but the railing had gaps in it, as if they moved the stairs and just didn't close up the gap. Our 3 year old was with us and I had to keep pulling him back by his shirt collar, because he wanted to play on structures that looked like they were going to fall down or were dangerous. Then we realized that the family that owned the house was still there, hanging out in the garage family room and it was super awkward for some reason.

Maybe the sense memory of snow is taking me back a year to when we were house hunting...and all the associated anxiety.

Last night I dreamt I was an assistant to Sean Combs during the recording of his next album. It was horrible.

I'm still not sure I can forgive him for making Puffy change their name to Puffy AmiYumi in the U.S.

I dreamed that I had moved back to Tucson, AZ, and I was participating in an ILF podcast (or something similar). The theme seemed to be that each participant would broadcast from somewhere outdoors, so I was in a park. The park was fairly small, and consisted of a square grid with plants in the middle of each grid point.

Jonny Angle went first. He broadcast/podcast from some stupendous cavern in Michigan. I was supposed to go next, but I became dejected because I knew that broadcasting from this little park couldn't even begin to compare with Jonny's amazing cavern broadcast.

I decided to go back to my apartment, but it was after 5 pm and the leasing office had closed, so I wouldn't be able to sign the lease. They had let me stay in an unoccupied apartment the night before, but I couldn't remember which apartment it was.

I looked at my car, and it was something so pathetic you could only see it in a dream. It wasn't much more than a clown car. It had a blue, plastic body, and looked ridiculously awful and old and abused. I couldn't even see a license plate, until I looked a second time. When I saw it, it was held on with vertical pieces of tape on the left side. The strip of tape on the left side of the license plate was very wide. The other strip of tape was right next to it, and was thinner and yellow and was also stuck on vertically.

Because of the violent crime rate in Tucson, I also kept worrying about being murdered eventually, which made for a heavy atmosphere.

Then my old boss showed up. He was happy and smiling as always, and gave me advice I can't remember about my apartment situation.

I had a dream I was chugging whiskey out of a milk jug.
I've been sober for almost 2 years. I thought I'd be done with these dumb ass dreams by now.

Yall ever have a dream for instance..there's these people getting up walking towards you and they look like people but you know their vegetables...like vegetable people, I've been to vegetable island once, there's a crystal lagoon, and your able to fly...but the vegetable people waddle about making a noise like doing raspberry's with your finger moving against your lips..it's a magical place...only the time I mentioned before think the vegetable people learned to change their form and snuck into another dream, I ended transmission and woke up...if I escaped the blob monsters..I can escape the vegetables.

I walked into a massive, labyrinthine bathroom in Home Depot and discovered this circular platform with several layers of toilets forming rings on it.

As I was standing on it, the platform rose a few inches and began to spin. Music and lights came from somewhere. Suddenly there was an audience sitting in rows of folding chairs, shouting "Piss-Go-Round!". There were other dudes on it with me now. I tried to pee but it was really difficult.

I guess you got points for pissing in these toilets as you spun, but a huge bonus could be had if you used one, then moved to another specific toilet while pissing the entire time. Like a chain bonus. I'm not sure what the winner got.

I left the piss-go-round and checked it out some time later on another trip to Home Depot and it was totally different. Insane lighting, techno blasting, full bleacher style seating, huge monitors, and a commentator narrating the action. The game was now dominated by teams of elite Korean competitive pissers. A young man's game now, but I got to experience the OG version.

I'm walking down the street in front of my old high school when I pass a trailer park version of Dave Grohl and his sad-eyed sweatpants-wearing girlfriend walking down to the gas station to buy cigarettes. I walk into this house party and Aen is there! He's sitting on the floor showing off this weird, brown, cynlindrical guitar amp to a group of people gathered around. He lifts the top off and inside there's a about 10 gallons of water. I remark that I had a humidifer like that when I was a kid.



Aen asks "Well could your humidifier do this?" And using dream physics, the amp grows until it is the size of a small hot tub. Not a very luxurious hot tub, mind you. Probably just big enough for one person. I think to myself that when Dave Grohl walks back from his cigarette run, we could invite him in to sit in the hot tub. One of the other guys standing around says "Eh, I don't think I'd like it." Aen replies "Well Michael Jackson liked it!"

I entered this house and walked into the middle of a party. I guess it was more of a sex party, cause there were people boning all over the place. In this house, there was a door that would only open for people who had a specific object. It led to an otherworldly place that was like a meeting hub. I remember that the place was cold and... astral? It was a room with nearly invisible walls and floors that seemed to be in the middle of an interstellar cloud. Lots of pretty colors.

I was gonna go in there and call it a night, but decided to check out a side room first. In this room was an athletic girl chilling on the edge of a couch in the corner. There were 4 or 5 people all over each other on the other couch cushions. The girl and I began talking like we knew each other, and eventually started making out. She stopped midway and told me she was tired and didn't like this place, so we teleported to a bed in a purely white room.

We talked for a really long time. Before falling asleep she told me to call her sometime, and gave me a weirdly long phone number that ended in "7562.2". I still couldn't remember her name, but deduced from a pill bottle in the bed that it was LaCroix Triton. Like a porn star. I kept calling her but we could never arrange a free time to hang out.

All of these other events happened afterwards that I can't really remember, but there was a pitch-black highway driving scene and then I was in a shitty, humid place like rural Florida with some other people. I went for a walk and noticed her standing inside the door of a white house. She waved at me and I started towards the house. Then I woke up.
