For the last several months, my mostly uncommunicative ex-wife has been hinting at a summer visit with my son. I haven't seen him in almost 3 years. It is as much my fault as anything that I haven't seen him. I could have made that a priority but it seemed so untenable. Now, she has pulled the rug out from under me a week out. I don't know when I'm going to see him. It hurts and I can't easily rectify it.

Jesus Christ dude. That sucks. Can't imagine how that feels. I know you've got some pains coming and going, but I feel you. I try not to post about serious shit in this thread too much because I prefer to run from my problems by working on projects and crushing my kids with hugs, but...I feel you on some of this shit. Let's be brothers in guilt and anxiety, mmkay?

I have a pretty solid theory that if I have a tape measure in my hands, I will lose it within five minutes. That's why I have three. Which are all currently lost.

Also, that's extremely awful, Chuck. Hope that gets sorted out for you.

To introduce some levity I have to pay customs on my modular. Going to throw some tea in the river to get back at the bastards.

Dude, lets. Your avatar is of my favorite actor (Buckaroo Banzai is my favorite film). It is just more on the fire. I can't wait until I can afford and amp and get back to kicking out the jams.

I can't retreat, though I want to. I have to go home and be useful and go to work and be a man. I have to pretend I'm not hollow. I have to stand against the wind outside and the vacuum inside.

........that new star trek, jrfox.....screams political correctness for this new generation...instead of touching on a galaxy far far away, or this is a brave new NEW world, its lets make somthing people can not get taken away with, but relate to.(acceptance of other races, ect...whatevers in the news, fashion, attitudes)..instead of going to another walk of life, lets show you the mall... sure there will be excuses and it will be called achieving brilliance, but its sad to say that the klingons of "our day" are just stupid looking to the kids who grew up past 6 yr old with a communication devices in hand...its not untill you have some quark about you in your teens that they will possibly look back...who cares...its over....fuck everyone and their mother...fuck you too. ftw.

what that trailer really screams is, im young and i know everything.

the original screamed-theres somthing left
tng screamed- theres somthing more
ds9 screamed- this little island earth
voyager screamed- you thought you knew
and that was it...now its get your hands outa my pants cuz you aint jerkin me around that way fuck you! :picard:

Guess I should feel alright shaving my head and face today keeping up with the klingon times, I am the first and the last..

I don't know how I manage to fuck up so many of my Headphone cables. I'm just glad that replaceable cords are a thing - even if Sennheisers can get fairly pricey

i haven't been posting much for awhile. it hasn't been going particularly well for me. once the inner ear infection quieted down and i wasn't falling down unexpectedly, my depression took back over in earnest. i haven't been able to do anything for weeks other than taking care of my cat and doing the bare necessities needed for me to look functional to the people at work. i haven't picked my guitar up for weeks. all i want to do when i get home is pet my cat and go to sleep. And the uber-hot weather--it's been over 90 for a month now--hasn't helped, either. everything seems pointless...nobody wants to hear my music, i'm 60 years old and no doubt will never find another girlfriend, and i just don't care any more. the only time i'm relatively relaxed is when i'm taking Klonopin. Just trying to hang in there until the weather lets up and my depression quiets down (ha ha). if it wasn't for my cat, i think i'd go completely insane.
