More compression control would be really nice. Don't really hear that big of a difference with the external switch on or off. Would to tweak it more extreme.

Old damaged tapes can sometimes sound stretched out, with random noise pops and slight volume drops. Don't get me wrong, I like this pedal. But for a worn out tape it sounds really clean. Some subtle and random stretching would fit the theme of the pedal better than bit crushing imo.

This is a cool idea

I'm now starting to use the Generation Loss live with my band. Can something be done about the 'thumb' when enabling the effect? Soldering a condensor on the switch or something?

My Phase 99 does this, too. Some pedals just collect static for some reason??

Edit to add my actual tip:

Turn it off and on a few times once you're all set up. You can eventually figure out how long it takes the static to build up again and periodically discharge it while muted or something.

You can just depress the footswitch part of the way to release the static I think. You don't have to click it. Unless it's a soft touch deal.
