I had one get infected. It's just bad luck - I am meticulous with my aftercare and didn't do anything different to normal but yeah . I got to it pretty early - on the fifth day after I got it done and a couple of days after I noticed the swelling was going up rather than down, but fortunately it hadn't gotten too crazy. If I had have waited a day or two I think the shit and the fan may have met. But thankfully no. The ink has bled a little, and the lines are a little distorted, but it's not noticeable. Haven't had it touched up yet but it's no problem to get it touched up. Just be thorough with your course of antibiotics. Skin infections don't fuck around.

swelling has gone down, skin has started peeling. time for another tattoo. my grandfather was a carpenter and i'm guitar tech/way better at wood working than my father is (not sure why, my uncle is a decent wood worker [insert obvious puns here]) so i'm thinking about getting a ruler tattooed down my inner forearm. same arm as the ghostlimb tattoo.
