Seems like a really cool feature. I like the idea of getting some stuff that I don't care all that much about but like to have, live tremolo or compression, from the switcher.

I've been messing with one at work/demoing it a lot, and its cool but a little limited in how the loops integrate with the onboard effects. You can only put the onboard stuff first or last in a patch. It's still a really cool idea and works really well except for that. If you're mainly using it for modulation and delay and stuff it'd be really sick with a couple of good drives and an analog delay in the loops.

Oh cool. Good to hear some first hand stuff. Yeah my dream right now since discovering this would be baby thunder out front, then in the loops have an Even Anguish, Limbo iii, and a Ditto. Then I could put the delay, dirt, or looper at the begging or end of whatever else is going on...

I wonder if it can go any deeper with the software interface it talks about. Link it up with the computer. As long as the reverb on board is decent I'd probably be happy.

Editing will be relatively deep, even the baseline current multi-fx stuff has an awful lot of stuff and automation and stuff you just can't do with a normal pedal.

Yeah I wouldn't even really be thinking about it except for how much of a consistent boss supporter you are haha. I probably won't take the plunge, but I might because I think I would write well with the format, like a couple presets that I'm real familiar with and then the ability to dive in and make a weird preset just for certain songs.

I just want one major company to include a fart piano sound as a joke.

It's a factory patch in the Roland Alpha Juno.

There's certainly fart pianos in the GR-55, but there's something like 800 patches in it, and 800+ synths.

Flipped through the manual, this thing looks awesome. I was thinking about getting an old rackmount time rectangle and a MIDi controller for knob-per-parameter use, but this...

I'm really interested to see if the RV500 can function as a combo delay and reverb for me, but I do wonder how the sounds on the MS3 will compare. The MS3 does have a bunch of reverbs plus a tape delay mode, although it certainly lacks the tweakability of the RV500.

The MS3 has the GT-100/001/GT-1 sound engine minus the amp sims.

Listen to demos of those for specifics, or inquire - been using the GT-XXX algos for years.

So I ordered both....

I got a 15% discount from Rogue (which I know some people hate them, but I've never had issues).

So all together it was a little less than 600. Not bad!! That's DD 500 prices!!

I'll report everything once I have them in my hands!
