Hi all, new member here. I've had a CT5 since 2015 and use it a ton. I didn't know that all of these new cool features were added - how can I find out if my version can be updated? I emailed the Montreal Assembly guy but never got a response. I think mine is the "J" version. Transcendence and different levels for mode 3 sound really great and I've love those features.

Looks like no? That really sucks for people who bought theirs earlier, thus giving MA the money to keep releasing new revisions. There ought to be a way to ship yours back to be upgraded. Looking over the K notes, it's literally twice the device now that it was when we bought it two years ago.

You've got it backwards. MA actually provides incredible support for their older pedals, back-porting newer features to the older pedals through firmware updates whenever possible - to a extent that's almost an anomaly in the pedal world. There is an update in the works for the older revs, just have to be patient for it to drop

Hi,

The primary reason to provide a user side port is in case bugs come up, which we have always fixed almost immediately. If we have time or if there is a good user suggestion I have added it a few times over the last few years.

As ritz said there may be anther update for h/i/j this year but they actually cost 50$ less at the time and have had a few small updates over their lifetime, I will be honest and say i don;t feel like anyone got short changed, but again if we can make some of the features from the next update work for h/i/j we will do so.

Did you try emailing Scott? Try to at least provide more detail as to why it's not working.

The blinking power supply may mean that your power supply is not giving it enough mA. It's a somewhat common issue with digital based pedals, especially with long pedal chains.

How many mA is that power supply rated for? And do you have other power supplies to test it with?

I have several power options, 2 adaptors - 9v 200mA - Boss 9v 500mA . 9v one spot battery adaptor -
Pilot Pro 23000mAh w/ 9v one spot all power sources DC Negative tip.
I have used All of these power sources and they were working for this pedal, until now?

That sucks!
Maybe open it up and see if any soldering got loose.
If not try connecting it to a computer, see if it reacts.

Good luck!
