It sounds great non high gain. Funny, is the right knob the gain control, because it always seems to have a bit of gating and end of note artefacts going on (which I love), but when you turn the knob to the right the sound just gets bigger and fuller instead of altering the sustain?

hey tristan, the right hand knob is the 'tone' control, just fades between 2 capacitors, all the way down is 2200pf (treble), all the way up is 0.47uf (bass), it doesn't alter the sustain at all. I think it gives you a FZ-1 flavour and a MK1 flavour in one pedal! On a MK1 this would usually be the 'attack' which on this unit is fixed on full at 47k.
Ah, I was already thinking, now I understand, the tone control to the right is the MKI sound then I guess. The attack control on a regular MKI is the bias, right? Anyway, the medium gain sounds great, nice and artefacty.

ok thanks for pointing this out, I also got an ebay message from somebody just now! I have had to end the auction and start a new one as it would not let me edit the postage details from uk only to worldwide, should be ok now but if not let me know!
Well that escalated quickly! Don't worry, here is it's little brother and its a more relaxing one week auction! - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361973784507
