"Photosentient," that's a good one.
This course, a perpetual alternation of determining what is true, and then setting aside this determining, constitutes, strictly speaking, the steady everyday life and activity of perpetual consciousness, a consciousness which fancies itself to be moving in the realm of truth.

Here's what I don't get...if "trans-plant" works for gender-bending examples of plant sentience in early modern literature...why not "plant-ations" for instances where humans are compared to plants for purpose of degrading their personhood (viz. Aristotle's infamous comparison of Persians to plants, Hegel's comparison of women to vegetables, etc). Yeah? See, I think it's really good, but everyone keeps assuming I'm making a joke.

Because the exercise itself is inherently silly. At best it is creating a cool pun (a practice I am in no way diminishing). Has the same logic as improv comedy; escalation, finding the rules of the 'game,' &c.

Sorry, mysteriousj, for the serious derail. I will never post anything for Ludwig again (OK I will).

I agree, but you've basically just denigrated Timothy Morton's entire career.

Marxian ontologies
Hegelian episteme (he later referred to in a rage as 'angelic antihistamine')
Utopist teleologies
Gaze of the hegemon

I believe i frequently fall prey or am at least prone toidentifying heavily with Utopist Teleologies.
Marxist Ontologies sounds like one of those free lecture nigts that the loca lanarcho- communist chapter put on to remind you of how evil your smartphone and showering are, just in case you couldnt figure it out without them, and that you're an awful piece of shit for not burning down your local bank.

Recently ran into a friend from high school who reminded me that I used to refer to cell phones (which were just becoming a thing) as 'pocket satans.'

I didn't have one until it became absolutely necessary and I couldn't avoid not having one anymore.
I think I was 23 or so.

I just want to go on record saying that I've also come up with really cool puns and other coinages.

Puns or it didn't happen.

I invented shredded cheese when I was a kid. By which I mean I had the idea that someone should pre-shred cheese so people like me wouldn't be farmed out as inexpensive labor to manually shred cheese. Now that I typing this out it occurs to me that my childhood is outlined by weird shit that points to how we were poor.
