Yeah, that thing was funded in a few hours, and Folktek already had one successful campaign on indiegogo. No risk there.

I've listened to/watched the videos a few times, there does seem to be some external stuff going on in the eurorack at a few moments (extra reverb maybe) but it really sounds very nice. Definitely more to my taste than I expected. I'd definitely put knobs on these pots, though :). It would also be nice if this thing could drive headphones, but there's no mention of that.

I'm more than tempted, 95% sure I'll order one today (499 with shipping to Japan, I wish they had started this a few hours later so that I could have gotten the early option).

This will switch my planned 4ms DLD purchase to later this year...

Those tiny wires look like a pain. But other than that this looks like the best thing folktek's ever made.

I think I'm probably going to jump on this, looks like a very fun instrument. Going away for the weekend so go a few days to think... if I still want it on Sunday evening :animal:

well aren't I the finance-guru:

I was just visiting my bank, turns out I DO have a prepaid creditcard, with 94,26€ still on it :wha?:
So the temptation to CONSUME!! is rising...

realistically I'm not sure where to put it either (TWSS/TWHS)
and some stand-alone demos would be super-nice.

There's no knowing how much that wall of modular contributes to what we hear in the demos....

I hate moodswings are awesome! Oh, and I usually post when I'm way too tired...

All demos so far are just the Mescaline by itself......

(how) are you sure?

I'll trust you're judgement on this, but there's definitely a patchcable going to the modular & some adjustments being made..?
If it truly is pure Mescaline... by the doors of perception, let's Button Up!

I haven't looked for any audio in/our cables in the videos, but:

(((sound)))

Worth noting is that no external effects or processing have been used. These are straight recordings into the mixer, flaws and all.

UC quoted it above but also I'm familiar with the workings of the Triad and it is very similar in layout, function and sound. I'm fairly positive you can get all of those sounds, modulation, effects and sequencing through the Mescaline.... and in fact, a thousand more possibilities than what has been shown so far.

Really hoping they hit their big goal to add the extra stuff to the unit they talk about on the indie page:

If we sell 250 complete systems, we're going to add an effect control on Channel for the DSP and add a selector to allow you to change from the reverb to another custom designed effect that will allow for further shaping. If we sell 500, we'll add the effect control as well as 4 total custom DSP effects to Channel which will take the synth to another level sonically and allow it to be a very powerful effects processor for external sound as well.
