I'm kind of interested in sticking one on mine but dunno if people have issues with them?

As long as you don't go to town on it like a Floyd, everything should be just fine.

My main squeeze, now in C Standard thanks to waltdogg. Now I know the true meaning of doom.

I like giant jazz strings on a 24.75 guitar for C-Standard. Maybe 13s with a wound G. Those heavy plain Gs sound stupid to me.

Agreed, that's how I've always done it. Heavy plain wire Gs sound and feel awful.

i put ernie ball not even slinkys on pudding's sg coz that's all i had on hand. i normally use d'addario jazz mediums for gibson scale.
it doesn't really matter to me either way if my third string is wound or not when i'm tuned low, i just want my strings to stay in tune. on gibson style guitars the second and third strings always go out of tune, especially after reslotting the nut and saddles for heavier strings.

interesting,
I am an unwound G person even on my acoustics
currently use 10-52 ernie balls in standard tunings
and 11 in anything lower
not sure I would ever want to go to a 12 set kinda like a little flub when tuned low

i did think i'd hate the plain third but i ended up not minding it.
i use dunlop 10-52s on all my guitars tuned to e standard. i wanna try the dean markley blue steel 11-52s though, the 10s are feeling too light.
12s are loose and a bit flubby down in c. 13s are taught.

I mean. Idk im a fucking neanderthal when it comes to fine details of string winding.
To me, the NES's work well so far. Enough give where I can do bends comfortabley, but big enough to handle the low tuning.
For a first time experience with the tuning, its been a good one.

Is that a light shade of pink? Or is that just the carpet reflecting on it. Looks gorgeous either way!
