Getting a Nintendo Wii in the mail today. About a 14 months ago I plugged up my old N64 and played through Ocarina of Time again for the first time since childhood. It was the only Zelda game I really played besides Windwaker, but since then I've played through Majora's Mask (awesome), A Link to the Past (way more difficult compared to other Zeldas IMO), and Twilight Princess (honestly maybe my favorite!). I started in on Windwaker after moving to a new house in Sept, but my Gamecube bit the dust. Found a back-compatible Wii for $55 on ebay and couldn't pass it up. Now I can finally beat Windwaker, and my friend/bandmate is gonna let me borrow his copy of Skyward Sword afterwards too!

Link to the Past is possibly my favorite, but they're all super good. Wind Waker actually gets better with age IMO. And the story and characters of Twilight Princess really go under-appreciated(not to mention it's really pretty long fleshed out story) Only one I haven't played is Skyward Sword (which I've heard mixed things about). I'm planning on buying a Nintendo Switch if just for Breath of the Wild. Looks amaaaaaaaazzzzziiiiiiinnnnnnnggggg.

Yeah BotW looks killer - I can't justify buying a new game system considering how many more useful pieces of music gear I still want though.
And I was hella surprised by how much I enjoyed A Link to the Past - I got into gaming (on my own systems at least) after the top-down view had been mostly done away with, save for Gameboy, so it was a relatively new gameplay mechanic for me. I am real stoked to finish Windwaker though, I remember absolutely loving it when I was younger, but I never finished it because I'm pretty sure I had also borrowed it from a friend back then. I'll be sure to report back my opinion on Skyward Sword once I play.

Fuck yeah, Zelda! A Link to the Past might be my favourite as well. Can't forget about Link's Awakening either. :snax: The original though, that's a fucking game. To me, the newer games (post N64) are really good, but are missing some of the magic and mystery I associate with the old ones. Seems like BotW will remedy that with less linearity and more exploration. :!!!:

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

A Link to the Past has been my favorite since I was really young. Still my favorite one by far. Top three Zelda are probably:

1. Link to the Past
2. Windwaker
3. Majora's Mask (a lot of contention for the third spot)

I've liked what I've seen from the new Zelda stuff so far, definitely a tall order to buy a system for one game though.

So I'm going to split the pot in my work's fantasy football league which means I have $620 to work with here. I'm split between:

A. Buying a set of monitors finally
B. Buying a 9U or 12U euro case
C. Saving money for once in my life

Guide me, ILF.

Yea that's definitely where the saving money portion comes in. I've never been a person of prudence though.

Oooh, I definitely will, thanks!

Well, shit, I'm finally done with this semester. Going to have a long vacation before I get going again. Done with all obligatory courses, so I will only have to work on my master thesis, which is coming along fine. And in six months I'm finished! :joy:

Also, new iRerror album just dropped! :!!!:

Just found out that I'm working a cruise again this year. Lot of work, but a cruise is a great place to do a lot of work. I need to get a good headphone amp so I can make noise in the darkness of a gently swaying ship. How are people looking their obne ones?

Also, just got a killer gift from multi_s, pretty happy about that.
