Maybe try a Dan Bau. It only has 1 string.

They're all Peter Blasser's Eurorack stuff. Very similar looks and he probably bought ten of each or something like thatEivind August wrote:I feel like you bought this same module about forty times the last few months.Uncle Grandfather wrote:NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNcomeacomeacomeacomeacomeachameleon![]()

Sweet koto, though!
yeah, i essentially built part of my euro around Ieaskul F Mobenthey which all share that look. I fell in love with the whole sonic aesthetic of his instruments, and the bounds/bounce concept is pretty amazing and really what pushed me to get into euro. The IFM modules are basically the individual parts of the more complex instruments that are either built and sold as Ciat-Lonbarde or are available as free circuits to build on your own. For instance the Fourses, SIdrax, and Stuber are different Ciat-Lonbarde instruments he makes. 2 euro Fourses modules almost makes the Fourses instrument, 7 Denum modules almost makes a Sidrax organ, and the Sprott is basically a Stuber with added chaos. Cool thing with the modules is you have added features not available otherwise and have more direct control over all of the parameters than provided by the CL instruments, plus new unlimited ways to combine them into something altogether different. and of course they are in the eurorack format and better suited to interact with whatever all else is out there in euro land. the Swoop in question is inspired by the Serge DUSG which is one of the main building blocks of a Serge modular synth, it performs so many different functions depending on how you patch it up and a typical Serge synth would be built around several of these modules. Swoop adds the IFM bounds/bounce concept to the DUSG making it an even more interesting module. so, on the one hand I've put together these quasi euro versions of his ciat-lonbarde instruments on steroids, but they also function as the building blocks of a far larger modular instrument that is inspired by the whole Serge philosophy

Irresistible at its new, lowered price on Reverb:

Can't wait to compare it with my Earthbound Audio Pale Mare. This may be the beginning of what will become a Bee Baa clone collection.

Love that gif. ^
Recently acquired a Keeley Loomer. (No, I don't listen to MBV and I also find most shoegaze/post rock Zzzzz inducing) The fuzz side is glorious. It's a muff with a chainsaw like grind to it. Sorta like a rams head crossed with an HM-2. Super aggressive. This was a very pleasant surprise as I wasn't expecting much. Definitely good enuf to kick my dedicated big muff off the board!
The reverse delay + envelope vibrato is so good and is exactly what I was looking for to add some melting warble/movement. Running it into my Quadraverb =
This will replace my Meet Maude, which I was basically using as a pad-like vibrato.
All in all, the Loomer is a bit pricey, yes, but this will be replacing the similarly priced Meet Maude, plus a big muff, so it has actually been a wise purchase for me thus far. And the awesome Soft Focus reverb is just icing (the octave hall mode is a bit meh). Very happy!
