It may be a case of him collecting the lot, and not really caring if they don't sell because they'll get used as studio equipment as long as they're kept. But just in the distant off-chance that someone does buy it at that price - he cleans up big-time. Same with the surf box - it gets used as long as it's not sold, but if it does, he wins the lotto. Nothing to lose really.

It's moments like this I wish Reverb had an option to edit the offer so I could increase it by $5-10. You end up getting stuck with the lowball (although it wasn't really a lowball. Still more than a new one).
