I haven't been lurking here long at all... only discovered ILF this summer while investigating some of montreal assembly's tasty offerings. Been playing guitar for quite some time, and I've recently returned to a more guitar-centric setup. The stuff I record tends to be on the experimental side, downtempo, dark, noisy, broken.

Glad to be here and looking forward to exploring the board more.

Hello everyone!

So I am new, been lurking around here for a while now, mainly around the pedalboard thread and the doom room...

I recently got back to playing the guitar after having put it aside for over 10 years. I have put together a nice little pedalboard for basic home noodling with the pedals I used to have and 2 or 3 new ones I bought in the past few months.

Apart from obsessing over pedals, and how they can all fit as neatly as possible on my little board, I have also been trying to focus on my playing technique and speed recently, by learning a bunch of melodic death metal riffs (and playing them pretty slowly for now, hahaha...).

I have also recently bought a few pedal kits to try out a few new overdrive and fuzz pedals and try and do a little etching in my spare time.

You all seem like a nice bunch of guys so I finally decided to sign up.

Hi ho! I've been visiting this board as a guest a couple of times. After a general sense of gas and pedal-mania came back to me a couple of weeks ago i decided to register. I miss exploring sounds and effects as i have been focusing on drums and metal-riffage the last couple of years. Now i want to explore the experimental and ambient side of myself more and this place seems just the right amount of warm, clammy and fuzzy so i hope i'll fit right in.

Also, i hope most of you don't mind shipping to Norway.

It seems about half the people on this forum are from Norway or other Scandinavian regions. So, shipping shouldn't be a problem.
